Fear of memory loss is a significant age-related concern, but a healthy lifestyle can contribute to a healthy brain. Here are a few things you can do each day to support brain health (and heart health):

🧩 Participate in mentally stimulating activities. Do crossword puzzles, read, practice math problems, write or draw, take a course, or learn something new.
💪 Exercise. Movement increases oxygen to the brain and prompts the development of new nerve cells and brain cell connections.
🚫 Limit your alcohol consumption. It decreases your risk for developing dementia later in life.
🤝 Build strong relationships. Social connections can decrease your risk for cognitive decline and support your mental wellbeing.

This Alzheimer’s Awareness month, get into the habit of making brain health a priority. Your future self will thank you!

✅ Plus, two new locations in the Everett Public School District at Everett High School and Cascade High School

School-based health centers help students receive the healthcare they need while they are in school. This means parents and/or guardians don’t have to take time off work for appointments, and students don’t have to miss school.
