In November 2016, I packed everything I owned into a vehicle and decided to relocate from everything I knew, loved and felt comfortable with in the Midwest to South Florida.

I did it for a few reasons but mainly because I wanted to take an adventure without the guard rails of comfort and familiarity and make my own way.

Before that, I had just got out of PTA school and just felt kind of stuck. Like I wasn’t living to my full potential. Like there was more out there I had to do.

I had aspirations of starting a fitness community that would hopefully utilize the skills I had gained in school/physical therapy practice, years of experience training and harness my burning desire to help others.

9 years later, I can say that we’ve got a good start… 💪

That photo you see above was the moment before I went on that journey and nearly backed into my neighbors truck on my way out of the driveway 😆

For that reason, November is always nostalgic for me.

But November 2025 was memorable on so many levels

I’m so grateful for all the lessons, memories and growth that’s taken place over the last 9 years.

If you’re ready to make a big move (physically or otherwise) in 2026, then here’s some advice as a guy who 9 years ago this month said:

“In January I’m doing it, I’m starting and never looking back….”

It’s all worth it, just got for it.

Wanna know how I to eat food like this for the holidays and maintain my progress?

That’s a silly question, of course you do.

Unless you hate desserts, in that case you can scroll past this post and forget I said anything…

I’ll share my 3 action steps to avoid the holiday weight gain and why it works.

But first, let’s be honest…

…Most people are going to put on 5-10 extra lbs by the end of the holiday season (and that’s being generous)

It happens every year - November rolls around and we get a case of the F-It’s

🎄 Holiday parties and get togethers = more temptations

🎄 Stress of the holidays or hosting the gatherings = more cravings

🎄 Cold weather = less activity

So how do we balance our holiday happiness and seasonal case of the F-it’s, while still maintaining the progress we’ve made over the year?

I’ll give you my top 3 action steps:

1️⃣ Be as inconvenient as possible. (Warning: this may upset your teenagers)

No escalators or elevators… take the stairs.

Instead of sitting on the couch to watch your favorite show, get on the old treadmill, watch them from your phone.

Better yet, every commercial break do a 1 minute wall sit, plank or marching in place.

The goal here is to utilize any and all forms of extra activity that you can.

2️⃣ Prioritize the meat.

Every meal should consist of high protein choices (like meat).

We do this because digesting protein alone will burn an impressive amount of calories and keep you fuller for longer.

Bonus points if you can consume 100 grams of protein before you get to dinner!

3️⃣ Kitchen closed rule.

We’re not placing caution tape around the kitchen lol.

However, it’s very important to have a set time where you’re no longer going to be eating.

This will help put an end to the late night, secret operations into the refrigerator.

Mine is at 8:00 PM - will also help with your sleep quality (affects weight gain/cravings).

Most people would have quit after what she went through… but not 💪

When she first joined our program, she was still healing from a major car accident that completely changed her life 🤕

Simple movements triggered dizziness. Strength training felt intimidating. Even walking long distances was a challenge.

But she showed up anyway.

She told me on day one that there were things she could not do yet, but she promised she would get there…

And she meant it 👊

Over the past year her transformation has been nothing short of inspiring.

Last October, was juggling the demands of being a doctor, a mom of two, but quietly struggling with her own health 🙏🏼

While preparing for a family wedding, she had a moment of honesty.

She knew something needed to change, not just for how she looked but for her long term health and the example she was setting for her children.

At the time she was walking around at 220 pounds…

👉 Her blood pressure was high.
🥱 She had sleep apnea and relied on a CPAP machine.
👗 Her clothes no longer fit the way they used to.

Even simple things like climbing the stairs or running around with her kids left her out of breath 😪

Like so many healthcare professionals, she was giving everything she had to everyone else and leaving very little for herself.

A few months later during one of our Client Mindset Clinics, she made the decision that 2025 would be the year she took her health back 💪

From that point forward, everything shifted 👇

✔️ She’s down 57 pounds…
✔️ Her blood pressure is “normal”, no more meds :)
✔️ Her sleep apnea is gone, no more CPAP!
✔️ Her energy is back and can play with her kids without exhaustion.

Her confidence has grown and her coworkers are noticing the difference too 👏

What made this possible was not an extreme diet or an hours on end in the gym. It was starting with small goals and following through on them.

Then after hitting a plateau we put in place a higher level of structure, accountability, and a customized plan built around her busy schedule as a mom/wife and frequent travels for out of state medical conferences.

I’ve coached 128 Saturday Group Fitness Classes on Hollywood Beach.

Here are the biggest lessons I learned.

The first class only 3 people showed up.

The next class even less, just 2. Including my who based off me hyping ip the class was expecting to see a tsunami of people show up 😆

At that point we had no momentum, no following, no real community or structure.

But over time those 2-3 people turned into crowds of 20, 30, even up to 50.

We created friendships, a special event, and community connections.

And what I learned through all of it was simple…

1️⃣ Show up even when it feels small.

Those early mornings built the discipline that grew everything else.

2️⃣ Lead with value, not perfection.

Some Saturdays were smooth, others were chaotic, but people came back because they felt supported.

3️⃣ Community beats motivation every time.

People didn’t just come for the workout.
They came because they felt part of something.

These classes have created a community I’m incredibly proud of.

And all of it came from showing up every Saturday… even when it was just three people on the beach.

Feel like you’re stuck in a fitness “hamster wheel.”? 🐹

When this client came to us she said those exact words…

Her workouts and nutrition were inconsistent, and she always felt at the mercy of everyone else’s schedule. “I kept thinking, ‘I’ll work out if xyz happens,’” she said. She described being in a bit of a slump, just going through the motions, with her physical and mental health not where she wanted them to be.

But in her first 5 weeks, everything has changed for her.

She dropped 8.5 lbs and 2 inches off her waist, WITHOUT needing to inject herself or swallow dangerous pills and potions.

Her sleep? Completely transformed. “I used to wake up constantly and struggled to fall asleep, but now I’m out as soon as I close my eyes (unless the kids wake me up, of course!).” 😴🌙

The Question Most Women Over 40 Avoid When They’re Trying to Take Back Their Health…

Most people focus on what to change when their health starts slipping.

What to eat?
What workout to try?
What diet to follow next?

But the real shift happens when you finally ask👇

For , the answer cut much deeper than losing weight.

Are you avoiding this important question? 🤔

I see it so often...

The question: Why?

➡️ Why do you want to lose the extra weight?
➡️ Why do you want to feel more confident when you walk into a room?
