This month’s guest presenter, Lisa Rigau, RN, will share how mindfulness and lifestyle medicine practices can support stress management and overall well-being. • Family members and caregivers
• Anyone interested in learning more

It’s a supportive, confidential space to connect and exchange practical strategies.

Seniors at WCHC in Tunkhannock recently took part in an Emergency Preparedness Workshop presented by 𝗪𝘆𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 and sponsored by 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The program provided practical, easy-to-follow information to help older adults plan ahead and feel more confident in the event of an emergency.

The session emphasized simple preparedness steps and encouraged participants to think through supplies, communication plans, and everyday actions that can make a big difference during unexpected situations.

To help attendees put what they learned into practice, each participant received a go bag, flashlight, first aid kit and Life Stack materials from Stone House Investment Management, oral hygiene care items from The Wright Center, a notepad from Representative Tina Pickett, and a preparedness workbook from PEMA. Participants also received a voucher toward lunch at Greenley’s BBQ.

“We’re grateful to partner with Wyoming County Emergency Management and Stone House Investment Management to bring helpful, local resources to our seniors,” said Nicki Morgan, WCHC Community Engagement Director.

If you missed this opportunity, join us on April 22 from 6-7 pm. Seats are limited so register at https://forms.gle/wEivfxcbz7B4vpUZ8

🎂 Happy 102nd Birthday to Ida Lupini! 🎉

As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we’re honored to recognize Ida, the mother of Lorraine Lupini, a valued board member of The Wright Center for Patient & Community Engagement, and reflect on the resilience, family, and meaningful connections that have defined her life.

Ida is a resident at Allied Services, a trusted community partner that serves as a clinical training site for several of our resident physicians in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program. We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate in supporting individuals and families across our region.

Wishing Ida a very happy birthday and celebrating all the moments, memories, and community that make this milestone so special. 💙🎈
