As we celebrate 35 years of Children’s Clinics serving Southern Arizona, we’re honoring the community partnerships that made our work possible, beginning with one extraordinary supporter: Square & Compass.

Square & Compass has stood beside our children since 1947, when they helped establish the Square & Compass Crippled Children’s Clinic, ensuring that children with complex medical needs had access to specialized care close to home.

In 1991, Children’s Clinics became a nonprofit corporation through the leadership of Tucson Medical Center and University Medical Center — with Square & Compass continuing the legacy of care it began decades earlier.

They built the very building we call home.
They continue to maintain and manage it.
And for nearly eight decades, they have ensured that our focus can remain exactly where it belongs — on the children and families we serve.

Quite simply, Children’s Clinics would not be what it is today without Square & Compass.

We are incredibly grateful to Sundt Construction, Inc. for their generous $10,000 grant in support of the Family Assistance Fund at Children’s Clinics.

For families caring for a child with complex medical needs, the costs don’t stop at what insurance covers. Essential medical devices and specialized equipment — from adaptive mobility tools to critical home supports — are often expensive and uncovered. This funding ensures that families can access the equipment their children need to thrive, without the added burden of financial stress.

Sundt has been an incredible partner to our community, consistently investing in the well-being of children and families across Southern Arizona. We are deeply grateful for their continued commitment and compassion.

A reason to smile 😄

We’re incredibly grateful to the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation for a generous $30,000 grant supporting our Cleft Lip & Palate Program.

Children born with cleft conditions often need years of coordinated care, and many essential treatment items aren’t covered by insurance. This funding helps provide:
• Orthodontic support like braces
• Specialized cleft feeding bottles & infant bibs
• Medical play kits that emotionally prepare children for procedures

By easing both financial and emotional stress for families, this support improves comfort, confidence, and long-term outcomes, allowing kids to focus on healing, growing, and just being kids.
