What’s one thing you can do today to celebrate International Day of Happiness?

Here are some ideas:
- Dance and twirl around in nature (like me!)
- Head to a nearby park and pay attention to the details of the trees or the grass or plants
- Search for positive, feel good stories on the internet or from your personal life, and call a friend or family member just to share

What else makes you happy? And why not try to do that every day, not just today?

Looking at this photo above (captured by ), what do you see? Maybe you need to take another look? A longer look, perhaps? Pay attention to what you notice. What thoughts, associations, emotions come up? You could feel neutral, confused, happy, or unimpressed. Whatever it is, notice it.

Today we let photos (and videos) just come and go so fast past our attention. But there are real mental health benefits to slowing down and paying attention to one thing for longer than you typically would.
