It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing that TWC is closing its doors.

We are in a phase of transition into motherhood, specializing our individual clinical practices, and expanding into other learning opportunities in the field of medicine. In order to focus on these new areas, we have collectively decided to end our Triple Warmer chapter.

It has been a true honor to build a practice with a committed membership base, and we are deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to work with each of you. We look forward to continue to support your health goals in different capacities.

In classical Chinese Medicine, the “Triple Warmer” is a network that connects the different parts of the body so that the organism can function as a whole. It is the only organ network that does not have a physical organ counterpart. It is unseen.

Like the “Triple Warmer”, we at Triple Warmer Clinic strive to be the unseen force that unites all the different aspects of your health.

The number three has a special significance. Three represents a dynamic quality to life and health, its inherent movement and rhythm help us move through stagnation and entrenched lifestyle patterns that perpetuate chronic disease and recurring pain.

To help our members work along the rhythm of three, we have developed the Triple Warmer Transformation Model. The model has three personas which represent three essential ingredients for the transformation of health.

We all know that we should go to the doctor at least once a year for a health checkup and screenings for major conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. But did you know that women do not necessarily need a pelvic and breast exam every year?

Every membership includes the chance to work with our incredible Doctor of Chinese Medicine. Treatments may include the use of acupuncture needles, moxibustion, gemstone massage tools, tuning forks, cups, essential oils and Chinese herbal remedies.

How did Triple Warmer Clinic come to be?

Our story began at our alma mater, the National University of Natural Medicine, where we all met and studied. Over the next 5 years, the three of us became good friends and bonded over lunch breaks, our shared heritages, sneaking in shared time despite busy schedules and life’s happenings. When graduation came around, we had an idea to celebrate together the unique paths we had each walked. The convergence of these 3 paths became the Triple Warmer Graduation Party.

The Triple Warmer is one of 12 major meridians in the body through which qi and our life energy flows. It is associated with the element of Fire, which has the power to destroy, but also the power to transform and give rise to new beginnings. As our formal studies came to an end, we each offered up something of our last 5 years to the Fire.

After the celebrations, we decided that three was better than two, and definitely better than one. So we carried the namesake on to our new clinic, partnership, and healing space. We hope to offer to our members the same spirit of journeying and transformation that we have all been through and continue to carry forth in lives and practice.

Happy (belated) Lunar New Year!

2019 is the year of the Pig, and the year of the Triple Warmer!!!

Symbolically, this is time period is also associated with the Triple Warmer channel in our body. This represents a period of returning to the Source. A time of rejuvenation and self-care. Together, the yin-Earth Pig (Ji Hai) year can be thought of as an opportune time to focus on self-nurturance, a time of resting as to gather one’s resources, and to feed oneself spiritually and emotionally by going back to the Source.

In line with this Chinese new year’s yin-Earth Pig (Ji Hai) mandate, how are you planning your self-care and nurturance to connect with your source daily? How are you doing this not from the perspective of laziness and indulgence but from a deep wisdom of knowing that rest can be in service of your Heart?

Here the Heart represents your higher self, your mission or calling in life. Take the opportunity to flow with the qi (influence) of this year and take the leap to making 2019 yin-Earth Pig year a wonderful and nurturing year.
