OneBlood collects nearly one million units of blood annually, operates more than 90 donor centers and deploys nearly 200 of its signature Big Red Buses throughout its service area for blood drives. 🔊Today! 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗲, come out and join the community in partnership with the As One Foundation at a memorial blood drive for Devaughn Darling.

In 2001 Devaughn tragically died on the football field during spring practices at Florida State. It was later revealed that his death was due to complications with Sickle Cell Trait.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. 💗 It is a tribute to Devaughn’s life and a reflection of 25 years of legacy, love, and lifesaving impact. 𝗕𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗻’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.

It all started with a bad brownie on her birthday! 🎂

Taryn told the bartender about her last brownie experience, who then brought her a great brownie & an invite to promote the 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀 coming to their restaurant the next day on her radio show. 📻

Taryn even went out to donate herself & has been donating ever since.
