I am selling homemade ointments, chap sticks, balms, and creams. My main area of interest is having a product that doesn't have a million ingredients in it, and works wonderfully. The less ingredients, the more you know what you are getting. My products are preservative, chemical, and dye free so they will not have a shelf life as long as a commercial product, especially the creams. They will always be sold in smaller containers because of this. Preservatives can be harsh on ones skin, making an ailment worse, or even causing an ailment. Also with my products not having any added preservatives, it helps meet my goal of keeping the ingredient list to a minimum. Keeping the products Simply Simple. I always encourage people to do their own research. An essential oil for one person might be fine, and for another not. All of the essential oils I have used are safe, all of them are great for your skin. Dry/Oily/Combination skin alike. Like the warning label says "If irritation occurs discontinue use". The Hemp products I sell are ALL GREEN in color. If its a Hemp product why wouldn't it be green? The green color is NATURALLY found in the seeds in which the Hemp Oil is extracted. The green color is naturally present due to the amount of chlorophyll found in the seeds. For more information on Hemp, I urge you to visit www.votehemp.com. Its a very informative site. Calendula is another focus of mine. It has many qualities to it as well. Its a great healer. From babies to grandmothers and grandfathers, and everyone in between, its a great source of first aid to have in the house, in your car, at work, in your purse. It is a beautiful orange flower, some flowers are yellow, or yellow/orange. The petals are edible, usable and beautiful. My Calendula/Lavender ointment has been a great thing among my family. They use it for everything! Its top in line in the first aid kit. I like to use mine on cat scratches, it works great! Very mild smell, when I use fresh flowers the color of the ointment is more orange. The orange color when used in copius amounts in one area can leave a temporary orange hue on your skin :) not to worry, it is temporary. You shouldn't have to put that much on your skin in one spot anyway as the ointment does go a long way. I have always loved working with plants. I've been looking for a way to get the word out that plants are at our disposal. Respectfully. There are more plants than one can imagine that can heal. A lot of them are in our back yards! Its always nice to know a little about the plants that surround us. Who knows, your knowledge of a certain plant may save a life one day. It could be as simple as eating Dandelions to put something in your belly so you don't go hungry. Make a lovely wild salad from Dandelion greens, Wild Onions, and Red Bud flowers! I have always experimented with plants, herbals. etc. I believe they are natures way of saying "keep going". They are always changing with the weather, and so interesting to watch. Admirable of how they adapt to things thrown at them. The great thing is that there are SO MANY to chose from! Where in the world do you start?! Well, I started with Calendula. One of the greatest plants (in my opinion) to start with. Its very diverse and safe, you can chose to grow it yourself it being so easy to grow, and its quite the old flower. I have always come up with concoctions for my family and friends to try for their ailments. Stuffy noses, rashes, swolleness, headaches, tiredness, bruises, cuts, etc etc. Family and friends have been my root to grow on. This little shop is in its beginning, and I intend to make it grow. Schooling is key, no matter if you school yourself, as long as you have the correct knowledge to impart. I think a willingness to learn and try new things is key to success. Everyone knows a little something you don't, and you know a little something they don't. This business is to help people. Help people be informed of their surroundings. Help people know that there is always something out there to work with, that there is always a beginning when something seems to come to an end. This.......is a happy shop :)

Scented items have an added shelf life because the essential oils all have anti-bacterial, anti-microbial properties, making them a natural preservative. As for all of the balms, ointments, and chap sticks they have up to a two year shelf life because no water is added, and more bees wax is used thus increasing the life span of them. So I am able to pre-make those items. All orders will come with a simple "instruction" sheet to inform you on your purchase.
