A little rain yesterday. Meh.
A lot of sun today, so out they went! Spring cleaning is upon us! So much to do....washing windows, washing and disinfecting stalls, getting after those stray cobwebs. The list goes on, but it's worth it when the barn sparkles and shines ✨️✨️✨️

Isabella has really been making great strides with Cully. He is an older horse with a huge determination to keep going. He is 30 years young, may not be perfect in every step, but every step keeps him young.
Isabella took the time to learn from the ground up, and oh, wow! This horse adores her! Her first trot with Cully was outstanding! Way to go, Isabella! You rocked it!!

Brittany is teaching Katie all about maintaining a confident attitude. In this video, Katie is focused on walking a serpentine using cones. Brittany, an alpha mare, appreciates Katie's confident demeanor and is, therefore willing to connect! Way to go, ladies!!

Holly: I'm unsure 'bout this🤔
Katie: Getting closer!
Holly: I think I'm scared!
Katie: Come get me
Holly: OH! Okay then!😂

Groundwork is so important, and Katie is learning so much with her mares! Holly, the Queen Mother trusts her completely, and Brittany, the Queen B has so much confidence and is teaching Katie volumes! The best horses are the ones that can work starting with the ground. That's why we often have our future riders start their training with these two gals 😀

Today, we are featuring Brittany, our Queen B!!
Brittany is an extremely well trained horse and excels in ground work and work-in-hand. She knows how to learn and apply without a halter. She is an excellent teacher for anyone wanting to learn these skills. Many of our riders have trained with Brittany and apply to their own horses. Groundwork is a necessary foundation in order to become a great rider!! Plus, it's a lot of fun!

Good morning! Sojourn TRC's Founder had a special day yesterday afternoon with her brother who resides at Trinity Services! Joe enjoys outings, especially with animals and nature. He looks forward to nice weather and loves his horse, Duncan. Riding Duncan helps Joe relax and work on his communication skills. Thank you to Joe's "Q", Mary, for joining Joe and providing transportation. A lovely time was had by all! Joe will be resuming weekly lessons that will add quality to his life. We are very happy for him, especially our Founder!!

Your donation to Trinity Services and/or Sojourn Therapeutic Riding Center are always appreciated!! 💓🐴 Both organizations do a wonderful job of enhancing the lives of adults with needs that require specialized care.
Thank you!
