Haven of Grace

The Haven of Grace is finally advancing. We have purchased 65 acres in southern Missouri, and so far we have drilled the well and brought in the electric. The driveway is in place, with a need for more prep work to bring it up to where the barn will be. As we work on the next phase, we are making plans to build an administrative office in between where the house will be and where the barn will be. It will likely be the summer of 2027 when we are able to open the equine therapy and have families come for treatment. In the meantime, we have a lot of fundraising to do! The next step is to get to know the community and forge some local relationships. Community based practice means we need to find out who lives here and who are the potential stakeholders to help us engage in the mission.

I love going back to visit and finding Grace's star in the tower. I had a picture of it made onto a coffee mug. :D I love Give Kids the World. In our plan for Haven of Grace, we are modeling several aspects after our experience of being there. It saved our family. Even though it was supposed to be for Grace, I have no doubt that trip and staying at GKTW saved my son's life. We were so close to losing him forever. Then this magical place was where he finally told us about all the things that were happening to him. He was finally able to let us share his heavy burdens. By the end of this trip, his soul was so much lighter. He was smiling again, and able to find joy in things around him. I want that for every family who is struggling. ~ Patti

We are in need of several musicians who are willing to give up an afternoon and evening on a Saturday in May for an amazing, fun charity fundraiser for Haven of Grace during National Children's Mental Health month. I also need a trailer to use as a stage, and possibly a venue such as a large field or parking lot. I am working on the details, but before I get too far down the road, I need to see if I have enough connections to make this work. Who's in?
