Honoring Our Heroes

Every year, our country celebrates Veteran’s Day on November 11th — and here at The Manor at Perrysburg, we are so proud and honored to know and care for so many Veterans within our Manor Family!

Our great partners from Ohio Living joined us to host a beautiful pinning ceremony, presenting framed certificates to each Veteran in recognition of their service. 💙

Megan LaPlante and David shared moving and patriotic words of appreciation, admiration, and commendation — honoring those who bravely placed their lives on the line for our country. There were tears, heartfelt moments, and pride as everyone stood, removed their hats, and placed hands over their hearts while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before a folded, framed flag. 🇺🇸

A special thank you to Mona, our Head of Dietary, who created the most decadent red, white, and blue parfaits — layered with vanilla yogurt, fresh strawberries 🍓, giant raspberries, sweet blueberries, and a touch of granola for that perfect crunch. ❤️🤍💙

We enjoyed decorating pumpkins with our friends at Abundant Life! 🍂🎨Nothing beats fall fun and good company! 🧡

We really went all out this year for our residents, family members, kids, and community — and what a spooktacular success it was! 🧡🕸️

A huge shoutout to our amazing families and staff who donated all the candy 🍭, and to Mona, our Head of Dietary, who knocked it out of the park with her creative and spooky confections! 🎂✨

Connie from HR transformed the building with decorations that were nothing short of genius 🎃, and DeAnn, our Activities Director, brought the fun with a Cotton Candy Extravaganza — complete with flashing Halloween rings! 💡🍬

🌟 Testimonial Tuesday: Richard’s Success Story 🌟

Richard was a recent patient who came to us requiring maximum assistance for bed mobility, was dependent for stairs, and could only ambulate two feet.

With determination and the support of our dedicated therapy team, Richard worked hard each day to regain his strength and independence. His efforts truly paid off — he discharged home walking independently with a rollator, able to complete stairs with supervision and requiring only standby assist for dressing and transfers.

We are so proud of Richard’s incredible progress and were thrilled to see him return home — especially to reunite with his beloved dog! 🐾💙

Congratulations, Richard! Your success is an inspiration to us all.

With pretzels 🥨, melted chocolate from the fondue pot, Mona’s culinary skills, edible candy eyes 👀, and a sprinkle (or two!) of fun, we whipped up these spooky-sweet Halloween treats! Lots of laughs, a few sticky fingers, and not a crumb left behind! 👻🍫
