Our Story

CarePatrol was founded in 1993 by Chuck Bongiovanni, a medical social worker. While visiting several of his senior aged patients, Chuck realized they were living in inappropriate communities. Their individual needs had not been taken into consideration and where they were living those needs were not being met. He did some research, and Chuck realized that being in the wrong communities was detrimental to his patient’s well-being. He knew there had to be a better way. He realized that families lacked the proper information to make an informed choice both by level of care and by quality of care. And so CarePatrol was born.

Word quickly spread about Carepatrol as they were the only agency who clinically matched their Clients’ needs to the proper communities who could provide care for those needs. They were also quickly recognized as the agency of choice for many due to their commitment to only recommending care options with exceptional care and violation histories. This differentiation sets CarePatrol apart from other competitors who refer based on availability of beds.

After many years of successfully serving seniors in the Phoenix, Arizona market, Chuck and the CarePatrol team decided they wanted to help seniors all across America. In 2009, CarePatrol opened its first franchised location. Today CarePatrol is 130 franchises strong and has a nationwide reach from coast to coast. Leading the industry and rising senior care standards by finding the safest care options has been CarePatrol’s vision since its inception.
