This 6-hour training is designed for people working with transition-aged youth and young adults seeking to enhance their ability to promote recovery during the transition to adulthood through a developmentally appropriate and generationally relevant perspective. For young people who experience mental health or addiction challenges, the transition into adulthood can seem unattainable. The fear of not achieving adulthood is echoed in the reported outcomes associated with engagement in behavioral health services for many young people seeking support. This interactive training offers a dynamic curriculum to encourage attendees to explore approaches for promoting self-exploration and personal growth. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of mindfulness-based practices that can easily integrate into a person’s everyday life for greater awareness, connection, and purpose.

Learning Objectives:
1) Define the developmental task of emerging adulthood
2) Identify the 5 stages of recovery
3) Learn and practice cognitive skill-building techniques
4) Describe the role of self-exploration in supporting recovery during the transition to adulthood

Michaela holds a masters in conscious studies and transpersonal psychology with a concentration in supporting recovery during the transition to adulthood through a generationally relevant and developmentally appropriate approach. Brining 18 years of research, practice, and instruction - Michaela provides a comprehensive, dynamic and applied perspective that has transformed individual outcomes at the local, state, and national levels.

Thank you to Lea for the kind words 💕

“I first talked to a peer on the Join Rise Be warmline in early 2025, and I am so glad I can call this warmline. Since that first time i was like “I feel so safe and heard here iI want to call in again!” Not too long, I used to have issues talking to anyone at all, especially when it came to my mental health issues and depression. I grew up mostly on my own / alone and bottled everything up. With age my past and issues caught up with me. I didn’t expect i would feel so safe here? I usually struggled a lot with warmlines, and I nearly gave up. I feel so free to talk about anything. I also kind of realised I am constantly in recovery and it’s never linear like I used to think. Whether it’s a good or bad day i am so thankful they are all there for me. Every peer here is so amazing! There is so much good I could say about this Warmline, and I mean it when I say I was one of those people who would lash out as soon as someone asked me how I am doing. I love being a frequent caller.”

Good morning and Happy Wednesday from Join Rise Be!!!

Midweek check-in 💜
Wednesday sits right in the middle of your week — a perfect time to pause to reflect, breathe, and reset. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Notice what’s been heavy, celebrate what’s been good, and give yourself grace for the rest. Progress isn’t linear, and that’s okay. You’re doing better than you think. 💜

What can you do to make your hump day fabulous?!!
