Story Circle—The Story You Need to Tell, in partnership with Cancer CAREpoint (Virtual)

Tuesdays, March 12, 19, 26, and April 2, 9, and 16 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Facilitated by: Sandra Marinella, MA, MEd, and Karen Newcomb, LMFT

Do you have a story? Ignite your interest in the power of your personal stories. Together, we will read The Story You Need to Tell and talk about how our brains are wired with our stories, and how our stories can define, grow, and even transform us. We will explore how to share and write our stories in ways that will lead to renewal, resilience, and well-being—even amid challenging times or any life-altering experience. Based on positive psychology and pioneering research with veterans and cancer patients, this guide was created to help us share, write (optional), and live our best stories. Join us for story, inspiration, and connection.

Due to the structure of this workshop, we can only register 10 participants. If you are interested in joining, please contact our Program Manager at ambar@bayareacancer.org.

At Enoteca Maria, an “Italian” restaurant on Hyatt Street, half of the menu changes daily. The fixed half is Italian; the rest is left for rotating cuisines from all over the world. And the people calling the shots are not professional chefs; they are grandmothers.

Each night, a “nonna” (Italian for grandmother) from a different country designs a fresh menu, honoring her native cuisine.
