When I had my first kiddo so many years ago, things seemed so impossibly hard, including finding the support I needed when I needed it. So, after surviving that first, very isolating year, I became a La Leche League Leader, bringing breastfeeding and parenting support to families in my community as a trained and accredited volunteer.
When it became apparent that was not enough to bridge the gap in the very lacking postpartum care for American mothers, I went further, delving into the years of education and experience required to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I am proud to bring the support to families that I know I needed, encompassing mental and physical well-being from a holistic point-of-view, and acknowledging that pregnancy, birth, and the beautifully raw postpartum fourth trimester period are all interrelated and inseparable.
I am an inclusive healthcare provider, and I strive to meet every single family where they are in their parenting journey, and support them to reach where they’d like to be. We all need support sometimes. I am so blessed to serve all of you.
