Birthday post!! 10/4! ✈️🥳📻

I have always treated my birthday like the new year. A time for celebration and reflection. 💜

This time last year Nico and I already sold our house in Austin, TX and we were packing everything into the storage unit. 😵‍💫

We signed up with Trusted House Sitters; to pet sit our way back through different states to NJ. 🐶

We would still be in Texas for another month as we planned a trip to visit Big Bend National Park and Nico was the best man for his friend’s wedding in Austin, in November. 🌄

I literally can’t believe all that happened from my last birthday until today.

I am so grateful for all the amazing people I know that make my life so meaningful. Thank you! 💗

Some reflections I am sitting with today:
• I am capable

• I am driven

• I love teaching

• I love my life

• I love learning

• I pay respects to my ancestors and lineage that chose to leave their country to create a better life for themselves and future generations. Those that stayed in Italy, I am grateful. Those that emigrated to Argentina, I am grateful. Those that emigrated to the US, I am grateful. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I miss everyone terribly and I am lucky we have the privilege of so many pictures that were passed down. My family, even those that have passed, feel less far away and distant.
A photo does truly speak a thousand words.

Overall, my birthday celebration this year is with family, a massage, and a trip to Ellis Island. Although, I was there with my dad when I was younger, and it meant a lot then.
I would like to go as an adult too. I know it will feel different. ✨

First thing, I invested in a prescription pair of sun glasses. Game changer!!!

I also invested in a new pair of glasses. I’ve had my current glasses for about 8 years. It’s time for a new pair! 🤓 (Hopefully they arrive this week.)

Second thing, I am always amazed how much yoga helps me reset; even after a brief 15-minute practice.

I felt my muscles strengthen, my mind calm, and a renewed sense of focus.

It’s so easy, too easy, to get wrapped up in everything that is going on with your life, the world, etc.

Rather than getting “wrapped up”, it’s better to “sit with”, “move with”, “breathe with”, etc.

I hope you can do this for yourself today too!

Be Fearless of the Heart.
(A perfect topic just some time after the Leo New Moon. 🦁)

I learned this mudrā in my 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019 and since, I have incorporated it in my teaching and personal practice.

Abhaya Hridaya Mudrā, also known as the Fearless Heart or the Courageous Heart Gesture is great to practice to connect to your heart’s truth. 💜

I love learning and practicing mudrās. If you take class with me, we practice many different mudrās often. 🤲

In regards to the shapes, postures, and positions we can make with our hands in yoga, they are called hasta mudrās. (Hasta meaning hand.) 🙌

In a typical yoga class, you move through different seated, standing, balancing, and reclined postures which provoke a certain feeling in the body. Hasta mudrās, are hand gestures/seals that provoke a feeling in the body too. Practicing them can feel like āsana, but for your hands. 🫶

In some ways, you can compare holding hasta mudrās to holding a plank. At some point or right away, you feel your muscles engage and you feel the energy you are exerting and cultivating in your body. Just by holding the hands gently in a particular shape or posture, it is possible to feel sensation in your fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, and your whole body as well.

The whole body is one big circuit. ⚡️ Mudrās help us to interact with our circuit of energy throughout the whole nervous system. That is why mudrās are sometimes described as a seal. They seal/close/connect layers of the body together.

Making yoga and meditation accessible is just one facet of my purpose to create positive change.

It’s a reflection of my commitment to a world where everyone’s voices are heard, where there is diversity in thought, where opportunities are within reach, and where love and acceptance flourish.

One way I make yoga and meditation accessible is by continuing to teach virtually. I offer a live, group class experience for people to commit to their practice where there is still human interaction.

I say hello and goodbye to each and every individual, but what excites me more is when people say hello and goodbye to each other!!

How awesome is that?! And it’s even cooler because some people have their camera on and some people have their camera off, and STILL people address each other and say, “Hello everyone”, “Goodbye everyone”, “I hope everyone has a good day”, etc.

It is extremely powerful to witness and I am so grateful that people feel comfortable to engage with each other in my yoga, meditation, and astrology classes over zoom.

Creating accessible spaces to practice and for people to show up as they are is extremely important to me.

My first in-person class in Middleburgh, NY!

A Yoga & Social Event!

🌻Yoga In The Flowers! 🌷

On Sunday, August 6th I will be guiding a 60 minute Gentle Flow class which will finish with a little sound bath meditation.✨

A Gentle Flow consists of practicing different seated, standing and balancing postures all while moving at a relaxed pace. The practice will prepare you for a relaxing savasana while listening to some crystal bowls calming your mind and spirit.

Afterwards, you will enjoy some refreshing kombucha to rejuvenate and replenish your body while exploring the flower fields.

🕒 Date & Time: Sunday, August 6th at 6pm
🐐 Location: Empty Pockets Ranch  
🧘‍♀️Investment: $20
🌻Please bring your own yoga mat and a blanket.

We forgot to take a photo!!!

and I got to spend some time together today that just flew by! 🐇⏱

I realized I didn’t take a photo with Payal so I took one of me leaving in the elevator. 😂

I also got to see Payal’s beautifully crafted self-care deck, Blessed Rest by Payal ™.

Even with all the bigger life questions that I have currently, I continuously find comfort in the moments around me that bring me joy, fuel my curiosity, and nourish my soul.

Why taking the time to honor the arrival of spring is so important for your well-being: 🌷🌱🌸

Spring is a time of renewal, growth, and transformation. It's a time when the natural world awakens from its winter slumber, and the earth comes back to life with new energy and vitality.

And as we move into spring, it's important to take the time to honor this season of growth and change - not just for the planet, but for our own well-being as well.

When we take the time to honor spring, we're acknowledging the importance of transitions and new beginnings in our own lives. We're allowing ourselves to let go of the old and embrace the new, just like the trees shed their leaves and grow new ones, and the flowers bloom from dormant buds.

We're connecting with the natural rhythms of the world around us, and reminding ourselves that we're part of a larger, interconnected ecosystem.

Taking time to honor spring can look different for everyone. Whatever form it takes, the key is to be intentional and present in the moment, allowing yourself to fully embrace the energy of spring and all the possibilities it holds.

So as we move into this new season, I encourage you to take some time to honor spring in your own way.

Whether it's a few minutes or a few hours, make the space to connect with the beauty and power of this time of year. Your body, mind, and soul will thank you for it. 🌷🌱🌸

It was fun to collaborate with someone who shares my passion for creativity and personal growth.

Valerie is a realtor in NJ and wanted to host a workshop for some of her clients. With spring in the air we decided to hold a vision board workshop. 🌷

Valerie guided us in introductions and everyone shared a little about themselves. It was lovely to hear everyone’s experiences purchasing or selling a home and how Valerie helped them with the best service.

I then guided a short meditation to help everyone get clear on their intentions. The quiet space, with some soft acoustic guitar playing in the background, allowed everyone to listen closely and deeply to their inner self.

After the meditation I shared 8 conscious questions that people could write their answers to first or reflect on during the creative activity and use as inspiration for their vision board. We provided magazines, scissors, and glue sticks and encouraged everyone to let their imaginations run wild.

As people started flipping through the magazines and cutting out images and words that spoke to them, there was this uplifting energy in the room. People were laughing and chatting, but also getting really focused and thoughtful as they crafted their boards.

By the end of the workshop, everyone had created these beautiful and unique vision boards that were full of their hopes, dreams, and goals. It was such a special moment to see everyone's creations and to witness the power of visualizing.

I was happy that everyone wanted to share and describe their board. It was emotional at times to witness everyone’s vulnerability. 💕

If you haven't made a vision board before, I highly recommend it.

I recently led an in-person vision board workshop in Little Egg Harbor, NJ with Nico’s mom. It was such a powerful experience.

I used the vision board as a mirror not just to imagine the future, but to also give myself permission to recognize parts of me that I may not always acknowledge. 🪞

As I was cutting out images and words that represented my goals and aspirations, I realized how much clarity and focus it gave me. Seeing my current hopes and dreams laid out in front of me was a reminder of what I'm working towards, and it was so motivating. By also adding aspects that already represent me, made me bring the feel of the vision board all together.

What surprised me the most was how much I learned about myself in the process.

I realized that some of the things I thought were important to me were actually just surface-level desires, and that there were deeper values and intentions that I wanted to prioritize instead.

It was a humbling and eye-opening experience, and it made me realize how important it is to regularly check in with myself and make sure that I'm aligning my actions with my true values.
