Over 10 days, we served 330 uninsured women – providing free 3D mammograms through out annual Mobile Mammography event.💗

This incredible initiative wouldn’t be possible without our partners at Siemens Healthineers and Raleigh Radiology, along with support from the WakeMed Foundation, The Links, Incorporated, Raleigh Chapter, and our amazing WakeMed staff who made it all happen.

👏Thank you to everyone who helped bring care and early detection to women in our community.

We are honored to have over 300 veterans as members of our WakeMed family. We are deeply grateful for your courage, dedication and sacrifice in service to our country and our community.

Our WakeMed family mourns the loss of Officer Roger Smith, who proudly served our community as a WakeMed Campus Police officer for more than 10 years. Our hearts are broken, and we grieve along with Officer Smith’s family, loved ones, colleagues and friends. He will be remembered for his compassion, his dedication to others, his kind smile, his friendship and his heroism. We are grateful to the Garner Healthplex Emergency Department staff for their heroic and quick response to this morning’s incident. We also thank our local and state law enforcement organizations for their support and assistance today and in the coming days.

Officer Smith lost his life while protecting the lives of others – and we will forever remember and honor his memory. Thank you to our community for your continued support and for keeping Officer Smith, his family and WakeMed staff in your thoughts and prayers in the wake of this tragedy.

More than 300 community leaders, government officials and WakeMed Foundation supporters joined us to celebrate the groundbreaking of the WakeMed Whole Health Campus in Garner — a milestone in our mission to deliver whole-person health for our growing community.

“This project sets a new standard in mental health care — breaking down barriers, reducing stigma and providing hope,” said Donald Gintzig, WakeMed President & CEO.

When complete in 2029, the campus will include a 45-bed Acute Care Hospital and a 150-bed Mental Health & Well-Being Hospital — a powerful symbol of the connection between physical and mental health. 💚
