Work at the front desk as a clerical and clinical team member. A typical day includes:
Taking and appropriately managing calls
Paging the doctor if needed
Scheduling office appointments
Working with electronic medical records (EMR)
Enter patient demographics
Obtain Lab results and enter them into the EMR
Obtaining vital signs and checking the patients in
Collecting copayments
Getting exam rooms prepared
Checking in and out patients
Entering superbills
Bilingual staff is preferred (Spanish, Creole, or both)
