Zucchini & Eggplant Baba Ganoush! This smoky and creamy plant-based snack is a perfect fall crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:
1 medium eggplant, sliced lengthwise
1 medium zucchini, sliced lengthwise
2 tbsp tahini
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat.

2. Place the zucchini and eggplant slices cut side down in the pan. Cook on both sides for about 10 minutes until charred and soft.

3. Scoop out the eggplant flesh. In a blender or food processor, combine the eggplant, zucchini, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth but still slightly textured.

4. Serve at room temperature with pita bread, crackers, or fresh veggies.

There’s more harm than good hiding behind these classic “health foods.”

Rice cakes - empty carbohydrates, the manufacturing process to “puff” them produces acrylamide, a chemical that studies have shown can have a carcinogenic effect

Vegan cheese (and meat) - can contain far too many additives and saturated fats (like sunflower or coconut fat)

Granola bars - contain a ton of added sugar, white flour, glucose syrup, or worse still, high fructose corn syrup, all of which spike your blood sugar and age your body

Dried fruit - contain a ton of sugar and fructose (opt for fresh fruit instead)

Sugar substitutes - “healthy” sugar alternatives like maple syrup or agave still spike your blood sugar, and artificial sweeteners have been shown to age your brain and lead to cognitive decline

Breakfast cereal - full of added sugar, artificial sweeteners, and flavors

Store-bought smoothies - often made with fruit juice (high in sugar) and little fiber and vitamins (better to make it fresh yourself or opt for fresh fruit)

This Beetroot Carpaccio with a Citrus Drizzle recipe is an autumn dream come true! Beets are a great source of iron, and are excellent for heart health✨

Ingredients
- 2 medium beets, roasted and thinly sliced
- (use a mandoline for best results)
- 1 cup arugula
- 1 tbsp capers, drained
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- Salt and black pepper

Instructions:

1. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar and orange juice. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

2. Arrange the thinly sliced beetroot in a circular pattern on a serving plate.

3. Scatter arugula and capers over the beet slices.

The Bristol Stool Chart shows what’s “normal” and what may signal constipation, poor digestion, or even hidden issues with your microbiome.

Your bowel movements are daily feedback on how your diet, hydration, stress, and lifestyle choices are working (or not working) for you.

Normal healthy stools are those in the middle of the chart, usually a 3 or 4.

If your stool is a 1 or 2, you’re likely constipated and need to:
- Increase fiber intake (fruits, vegetables, whole grains).
- Drink more water to help soften stool.
- Consider adding magnesium-rich foods or supplements to aid digestion.
- Incorporate more physical activity to stimulate regular bowel movements.

If your stool is a 5-7 it may indicate that your digestion is on track, but if it's closer to a 7, it could point to diarrhea. Here’s what to do:
- Focus on staying hydrated to prevent dehydration.
