PsyCare

PsyCare Operating 6 outpatient offices helping individuals & families overcome difficult emotional problems.

PsyCare operates seven conveniently located outpatient offices in Northeastern Ohio that are dedicated to assisting individuals and families to overcome difficult emotional, behavioral, mental and relationship problems. PsyCare is committed to providing the very best treatment services possible — in a comfortable setting, personalized to the client’s needs and circumstances, and delivered by highly competent and caring clinicians. Commitment to excellence is reflected by PsyCare’s “Gold Seal of Approval” awarded by The Joint Commission, requiring adherence to very high standards of care. The mission of The Joint Commission is “to continuously improve healthcare for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating healthcare organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.” PsyCare is the only outpatient behavioral organization in the Mahoning Valley to achieve this distinction. PsyCare was founded in 1985 by three local psychologists and, due to its hard-earned reputation for quality service, grew to its current nine offices, serving clients in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. We are a multi-disciplinary staff, consisting of well-qualified medical staff and therapists. The medical staff includes adult and child psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists. Counseling and psychotherapy services are provided by clinical psychologists, clinical social workers and licensed counselors. We also provide specialized Consumer Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) and IFAST services to Medicaid clients requiring intensive assistance.

🧠 **Fact Friday** 🧠

Mental health conditions are more common than many people realize.

Each year, about **1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience a mental health condition.** That means chances are — you, a family member, a coworker, or a friend may be navigating something you can’t see.

Mental health challenges are not a sign of weakness. They are health conditions — and they are treatable. Early support, professional care, and open conversations make a meaningful difference.

At PsyCare, we believe that understanding the facts reduces stigma and opens the door to healing. 💙

If you or someone you love needs support, reaching out is a strong first step.

💜 Together Thursday 💜

Today, PsyCare is honored to recognize Austin’s Army, a su***de prevention awareness group created in loving memory of Austin Lawrence.

Austin’s Army was founded to keep Austin’s light shining by raising awareness, encouraging open conversations about mental health, and reminding others that they are never alone. Through advocacy, community events, and connection, this group continues to turn loss into purpose — and pain into prevention.

Su***de prevention starts with conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with community.

If you or someone you love is struggling, reaching out for support is a sign of strength. Together, we can reduce stigma, spread hope, and create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

💬 Help us honor Austin’s memory — drop a 💜 in the comments to show your support for su***de prevention and mental health awareness.

***dePrevention

Every number has a name.
Every statistic has a story.

The latest 2024 U.S. su***de report shows:

• 48,824 lives lost in one year
• 133 lives lost every single day
• Su***de remains the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 15–24
• Nearly 80% of those lost were men
• Over 6.6 million people are impacted by su***de loss each year

Behind every number is someone who was loved. Someone who mattered. Someone whose absence leaves a permanent space in this world.

Mental health matters.
Conversations matter.
Checking in matters.

We don’t share these facts to spread fear, we share them to spread awareness. Because awareness leads to action. Action leads to support. Support saves lives.

You are not alone. And your story is not over. 🖤

🌿 **Wellness Wednesday** 🌿

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

“Filling your cup” means taking intentional time to restore your energy — physically, mentally, and emotionally — so you can show up fully for your work, your family, and yourself.

It doesn’t have to be big. It can look like:
• Sitting quietly with your coffee before the day begins ☕
• Taking a short walk outside for fresh air 🌤️
• Saying “no” when your schedule is already full
• Turning your phone off for 30 minutes
• Scheduling that appointment you’ve been putting off

Small, consistent moments of care add up.

This week, what’s one simple thing you can do to refill your cup? 💙

🧠 Fact Friday | Did You Know?

Chronic stress doesn’t just affect your mood — it can impact your sleep, immune system, digestion, and concentration.

When stress hormones stay elevated for long periods of time, your body stays in “alert mode,” making it harder to fully rest and reset.

The good news?
Small, consistent strategies like structured routines, therapy, movement, and healthy boundries can help regulate your nervous system and reduce long-term effects.

Taking care of your mental health is taking care of your whole health. 💙

If stress has been feeling constant or overwhelming, support is available.

⭐ Team Tuesday Spotlight ⭐

This week, we’re proud to highlight Ashley, one of the incredible team members working behind the scenes in our Billing Department! 💼✨

Ashley plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly — ensuring claims are processed accurately, questions are addressed promptly, and the financial side of services supports the important clinical work happening every day. Her attention to detail, organization, and dedication help make the experience seamless for both our providers and the families we serve.
