Arabella arrived at 31 weeks after doctors diagnosed her with Hydrops fetalis, a serious condition that causes dangerous fluid buildup and can lead to liver and kidney failure. From the very beginning, she showed incredible strength. 💪🩷
She spent two long months at Cincinnati Children’s. During that time, Arabella faced more than anyone could imagine: low platelets that required daily transfusions, dialysis, CPAP and oxygen support, placement on the liver transplant waitlist, countless CT and MRI scans, frequent eye exams after being diagnosed with retinopathy of prematurity, and so much more.
Doctors gave her only a 1% chance to survive—but Arabella fought. And she won. She started gaining weight, breathing better, eating without her feeding tube, and improving every single day. After 60 days, her mommy and daddy finally got to take her home. 🏡💕
Today, Arabella is a thriving, happy, healthy, growing 2‑year‑old. She has improved so much that she’s officially been discharged from all 13 specialists she once saw at Cincinnati Children’s, though she still loves to stop by and visit the amazing staff who helped save her life. 💙
Arabella loves animals (especially dogs and cats), singing and having dance parties with her big sister Brynlee, and watching Ms. Rachel, Wicked, Bebefinn and Cocomelon. She is living proof that miracles happen, and that strength can come in the tiniest packages. 🌈✨
