A little full-circle wine moment 🍷
In 2023 we stayed at in Montalcino, and the moment I learned the property had and a wine club… I signed up immediately.
Our yearly shipment recently arrived, including the newest vintage of their Brunello (2021), plus a few library bottles that I couldn’t resist adding to the order.
Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese and is one of Italy’s most iconic wines. One of the reasons it’s so special is the aging requirement. Brunello must age for at least 5 years before release, with a minimum of 2 years in oak and 4 months in bottle.
Along with the Brunello, I also grabbed the newest vintage of their Super Tuscan, Prima Pietra, which is my go-to random weekday wine. Currently one of my favorite wines too!
Homemade sourdough pizza and a Super Tuscan felt like the right way to celebrate a wine delivery day.
Italy really said take a piece of Tuscany home… and I happily listened. 🍷
Looking forward to hosting my now annual Brunello vertical tasting and dinner!
