Brookdale Urbana has a great amount of experience and knowledge when it comes to dementia. Come join our Clare Bridge Program Director, Gail, as we come together for our monthly Embrace Family Partnership Program. This support group is free and open to anyone who is looking for education and support! It is the last Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in our theater room. We will be in person and virtual.

Our address is Brookdale Urbana, 1706 E Amber Lane, Urbana, IL 61820. For virtual information or any questions, please call 217-328-3150. We hope to see you Tuesday, December 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.!

Jackpot! What an incredible, fun Casino Night with our residents, families, friends and associates. There was beginner's luck at the tables and free spins at the slot machine games. Everyone had so much fun, especially with our Executive Director, Department Heads, associates, and our District Director of Operations who joined in the fun. The best part was not just having fun, but growing together by socializing and getting to know new friends, creating new memories together with overflowing smiles, laughter, and excitement for our next family night.

We love going to The Pottery Place so last Wednesday, we enjoyed an evening scenic ride, ate delicious dinner from Jimmy John's and painted different holiday potteries at The Pottery Place. Everyone explored their own creativity with conversations and laughter with one another. We also love being photogenic and having fun. We had to wait for a few days for the finishing coating to seal the paint, and we love how they turned out!

She will be leading the topic: Travel and Holiday Tips and Considerations for Persons Living with Dementia. Join us tomorrow (Tuesday, November 25th) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as we discuss ways to support successful trips and gatherings, especially planning trips, and thoughtful tips to help reduce stress for the person living with dementia and their care partners. Thank you to Elijah, from Champaign County Humane Society, for bringing a precious, 3-year-old Pit Bull Mix, Stormy, last Thursday. We fell in love with her joyful smile, playful energy and her comfort. She enjoyed the extra love from us. We can't wait for next month!
