The Church’s obsession with 'staying at all costs' has created a generation of victims who feel that leaving an abuser is a bigger sin than the abuse itself.

When we tell women to 'just pray more' or 'be more submissive' to a man who is emotionally or physically harming her, we are hand-delivering her to her abuser.

Life is sacred. It’s time we stop valuing the institution of marriage more than the image-bearers within it. If your theology doesn’t have room for a woman to flee for her life, your theology is broken.
