How far could you stretch a mere $50 in spending money each month?

Under state law, that's what nursing home residents are allowed under Medicaid to spend monthly on personal items like clothes, books, cards for family and friends, or hobby materials.

It's time to raise the $50 Personal Needs Allowance, or PNA, to a livable threshold. Call your elected officials and sign the petition today: https://forms.office.com/g/urMXCZJy42

November marks National Epilepsy Awareness Month, and this year’s theme—“All In” for Inclusion, Education, and Support—is more than a slogan; it’s a movement. At RCIL, we stand united in raising awareness, breaking down barriers, and empowering the 3.4 million Americans living with epilepsy. Together, we can transform understanding into action and create a world where everyone affected by epilepsy feels seen, supported, and included.

Join RCIL in recognizing National Epilepsy Awareness Month. This November, we’re “All In” for inclusion, education, and support—advocating for rights, connecting resources, and raising awareness for the 3.4 million Americans living with epilepsy.

Assistive Technology (AT) Tuesday is back, and today, we’re spotlighting walkers! Walkers are a type of mobility aid that help people move, sit, and stand safely as they go about their daily activities. Walker design is as diverse as people’s needs! Frame sizes, heights, and materials vary to provide ample stability for each user. Some even have built-in seats, trays, guiding lights, or other helpful accessories that help people do what they need to do!
