New research presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting found that patients who underwent robotic assisted total knee replacement reported higher satisfaction and improved quality of life compared with those who had conventional surgery.
In the study, 90.4% of patients who had robotic assisted total knee arthroplasty reported being satisfied with their outcome, compared with 84.9% in the conventional surgery group. Researchers also found improvements in patient reported quality of life after robotic assisted surgery.
At The Steadman Clinic, Nathan Cafferky specializes in advanced joint replacement techniques, including robotic assisted knee replacement, helping patients return to walking, skiing, cycling, and the active mountain lifestyle they love.
