Welcome to Silver Poppy Birth Services! I am Tessa, mom of two living in Northeast Missouri and professional doula. Experiencing my first pregnancy and birth during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic opened my eyes in a unique way to the truth of childbirth and maternal care in America, and ignited a passion for supporting mothers in the most profound and vulnerable moments of their lives. Through life’s twists and turns, I continued educating myself on evidence based birth practices and finally in 2025, I was able to complete my professional doula training. 2026 is the year I am taking the plunge and pursuing this calling full time.
