We have a live event in LA, Saturday 9/24 from 4-7p, with our dear brother , hosted by our sisters in Venice.

I promise this will be a very special evening:

is a shop on rose avenue in Venice. It is beautifully curated with shamanic and indigenous artwork from around the world.

A small group of us will gather in their community space to have a conversation about Kanna.

You’ll learn about the plants origins, benefits, and chemistry.

You’ll get to ask any questions you may have.

And, you’ll get to try kanna, as guides us through a facilitated WRKEN experience.

WRKEN is a beautifully integrated modality of movement, breath, and connection.

This experience will be an excellent container to try kanna, and to learn how intentionally microdosing this sacred plant can deepen your relationship with your heart, body, and breath.

Plus, you’ll get a free bottle of our kanna microdose tincture, so signing up is a pretty easy decision. We can only hold for 20 people so please register ASAP!

Please message me if you have any questions. I really hope to see you there!

friends, a mush asked question: is kanna a psychedelic?

𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫: 𝐧𝐨.

while kanna has psychoactive alkaloids and psychotropic effects, it is not classified as a classic psychedelic.

we see the word psychedelic used for a wide variety of plant ally’s, substances, and alkaloids: from M**A to ketamine.

but classic psychedelics are classified as those which produce changes in one’s perception, mood and cognitive processes, including producing visions. these include psilocybin, L*D, DMT, mescaline.

kanna is classified as an 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧.

empathogens are characterized by their ability to produce experiences of connectedness to yourself and others, openness, empathy, love, and emotional communion. they are not known to be hallucinogenic.

p.s. how does this play out for microdosing kanna?

it was the early 1600s when dutch explorers stumbled upon kanna (sceletium tortuosum) in south africa and we have seen the first written accounts of this incredible plant.

but it was around the early 1700s when an explorer and ethnologist peter kolben made a voyage there to understand the landscape. it is said that upon watching the indigenous use this plant to induce states of euphoria, bliss, and ecstasy, he noted enthusiastically in his journal:

“kanna is the greatest cheerer of the spirits, and the noblest restorative in the world”

late afternoon coffee break?

a gentle invitation to pair it with RELAX — the l-theanine in this formula is a natural complement. the calming effects of this alkaloid can help combat caffeine-induced anxiety and jitters, while helping improve clarity and focus.

have you tried this combination, friends? let us know ✨☕️
