We are excited to announce that will be our guest for December’s NightCause next Thursday (12/6)! Nana is a Grammy-nominated songwriter and music producer who has collaborated with Kanye West, Rick Ross, Kimbra, Kendrick Lamar, and fellow label mates Janelle Monáe and Jidenna. Aside from his impressive resume, Nana embodies the spirit of NightCause. At two years old, Nana was diagnosed with sickle cell disease. Spending significant time in the hospital, Nana started making music using Fruity Loops in order to drown out the beeping soundtrack of hospital equipment, which he described as “a soundtrack of death.” Nana’s experience motivated him to pursue music while raising awareness about sickle cell disease and helping those affected by it. After the passing of his brother in 2011 to sickle cell disease, Nana created , a non-profit advocacy organization whose mission is to empower and give a voice those suffering from Sickle Cell by eradicating the disease with a universal cure. The proceeds from December’s NightCause will be donated to AllOneBlood. We’re looking forward to sharing this special evening with you. FB event link in bio 🎶♥️🎶

When you shine a beam of light at a mirror ball, the light gets reflected as multiple, discrete light beams from the surface. If the surface of the ball were “perfectly” smooth, the disco ball would not create the same effect. In fact, the dramatic beams of reflected light that shoot from a proper disco ball are caused by its mosaic-like construction; a spherical grid of square pieces of mirror separated by cracks. Indeed, the beloved effect of a disco ball is caused by its fractured surface. Whether it is light reflecting off of a disco ball or humans reflecting on life, sometimes we realize that the best part of a thing can be attributed to an element of a system that we initially labeled as a flaw to fix 👁✨👁 . .
On Thursday (11/8), and will steer the decks towards a dancey musical destiny. 100% of the proceeds from the party will be donated to . Delightfully perfect “imperfection” starts at 9:30PM at . See you soon!
