The College of Lake County is joining community colleges across Illinois to help address food insecurity through the second annual Feed the Need Campus Food Drive. This statewide initiative, organized by the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB), engages campuses in a friendly competition while serving a critical need. CLC is collecting non-perishable food items and supplies to stock the SHARE Market student food pantry for the holiday season and winter break.

The CLC SHARE Market provides food, school supplies and toiletries to any currently enrolled CLC student who needs basic needs support and a little extra help to stay focused on their educational and career goals. Students can shop weekly for basic grocery items and stop by once a day for a quick snack before or after classes. Last academic year, over 1,300 students utilized the market over 8,700 times. Student demand has increased this fall with an average of 450 visits per week.

Please help us feed the need and support CLC students! You can choose one or more of these options to participate. The food drive runs through Monday, Dec. 1.

📌 Option #1: Shop and drop off donations
Shop from the suggested donation list and drop items off at any of these CLC locations between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays:

📍Lakeshore (Waukegan) Campus: Welcome and One Stop Center, 34 N. Sheridan Rd., Student Center first floor
📍Southlake (Vernon Hills) Campus: Campus and Student Support Center, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Room V130
📍Grayslake Campus: Welcome and One Stop Center, 19351 W. Washington St., B Wing first floor
📍Advanced Technology Center (Gurnee): 7735 Grand Ave.
📍Prairie Restaurant at Brae Loch (Grayslake): 33600 N. US Highway 45

📌 Option #2: Shop from the SHARE Market Amazon List
