Do It All Inspirations

Do It All Inspirations Do It All Inspirations offers various types of speeches focusing on at risk youths, people struggling with addiction or living life with a disability.

Do it all Inspirations is me David Watson, speaking from a wheelchair, as a motivational/inspirational speaker. I live life paralyzed since 2003 due to a tragic auto accident, where I was the one driving the vehicle. I than began sharing my story in 2006, giving numerous speeches to various groups and sharing all I’ve endured in hopes of helping people through ANY tough time in their life. I specialize in speaking to high school students about Drinking & Driving along with Texting & Driving and the consequences of what can happen. I emphasize on how if they have “just 1 drink” or are “goofing off” in a vehicle, truly what the consequences can be. In my accident I was .01 (1/10th) over the legal limit of .08, but ANY amount can and does impair your judgment. I also touchdown on other topics I feel are very important at their age. Help educate more about substance, physical & emotional abuse, as well as some ways to make changes to their lives now, before things get too out of hand. Inform them how important it is to talk to any counselor, teacher or parent regarding any of these issues they might be experiencing, so they can get the proper help they need. Living my life in a wheelchair, I like to talk to wounded vets/military men & women about how there is still so much to life. I show ways of not getting stuck in a rut, such as substance abuse due to perhaps getting prescription medicine. It is very easy to get addicted to substances like that, along with any other drug. I give them good healthy ways of enjoying life, disabled or not and show them it can be great! You can still enjoy things like sports & recreational fun, you just have to adjust a bit. I let the newly injured know what to look for as far as health issues & prevention of many, instead of them having to figure it out ALL on their own. I offer various topics to inmates, parolees & out patient treatment programs on how and what they have to look forward to without using, selling, abusing narcotics. Instead of all the negative things going on or the struggles in their life, I try to give all of the positives on what they can do by obeying the law and how much life is really worth. I offer many different topics as well as speak to other organizations that need someone who has lived it all. I went from starting a Landscaping business at the age of 17, to a full scale Maintenance & Construction business. I was making more money at the age of 24 then most of our fathers were making at that time. I lost it all February 6, 2003. It started out by having dinner with a beer or two over a three hour period. I’m now driving as I round a corner 2 miles from my house at a high speed and lose control of the truck. I swing into a snow bank launching it 15-20 feet into a telephone pole which breaks in 1/2 and the top part of the pole lands on the cab of the truck, squashing me under the steering wheel & dash board. I was conscious most of the time while my back was hurting bad. As I’m now starting to suffer from hypothermia I now start fading in & out of consciousness. I am able to see all of the cops, paramedics, etc., I was freezing and just wanting to get out of the mangled truck. I had to call my wife at this time, she actually didn't believe I was in an accident. Her Dad came to the scene, called her and said "This is bad, head to Hartford Hospital!” Now I am in hypothermia mode and fading in & out, then SMASH goes the back window! Time to extract me, I hear the Jaws of Life cutting the roof & passenger door off. As I feel all of these hands & voices talking to me, I just wanted to let go… I was finally extracted from the truck, brought to a helicopter by ambulance. I then go unconscious and thankful for it that time! I can't remember what my body temperature was at that time, but very dangerous from what I was told. I wake up in an MRI tube, not knowing where I was, what was going on, screaming get me out of here!! For hours I was in there, due to them having to test everything! I was told my head was double the size it normally is. Life got even more real when I would never walk again @ the age of 29, two months before my 30th birthday. I would be spending months in a rehab hospital to "learn" how to live life in a wheelchair! To sum it up, I've lived in the chair now for 11 years. The 1st year & 1/2 was a nightmare due to selling my business, my wife leaving me and one of my dogs got hit by a car at 7.5 months old. That's when I gave up, resorted to the devils hands and he bit me as hard as possible. I then got introduced to adaptive sports. I learned how to water & snow ski, play wheelchair tennis and hand cycling. I became part of VT Adaptive Ski & Sports to then excel at mono-skiing, Leaps of Faith for water-skiing and I realized life can still go on. I picked up a good paying job for 5 years, until I was laid off a year ago. My dream now is to follow my passion, to help others and start speaking again. Please contact me with any questions or interests in having me speak at your event. I have numerous speeches I have done to all types of organizations & looking to get into more venues. I want to get involved speaking to our US Military that might be coming home with a permanent disability. I can pass my life experiences on to others so they live a better quality of life. After some really hurtful news, X's 3, means I was hit with a load of crap all at once while my health isn't well again! Why let the small stuff ruin one's attitude? I was snappy & grouchy but with some positive thinking & a new friend I made today is somewhat of the jackpot I need right now to help me increase sales & purchase more merchandise. The moral of this story is,when you feel like you are getting hit in every direction, make your own path to get out of the line of fire, this will start to change one's way of thinking with that comes the positive attitude back. You will see the good things that you were either looking for or something that made you smile, laugh, or further your future goals. Under the gravel, there is Gold to be found, so keep the chin up & find the gold! Peace & happiness & good health to ALL!!! With that you have everything, money nor materialistic things can't replace true happiness, love, laughing & your good health!

I look at this Pic. of Lionel & he was about 7 months old, now he's 6 & more like a DOG, time has gone by so quick, six years we've been together! He started in the water early in age & we are going for an early run so he can go swimming before it gets to hot out. He still cheers me & makes me smile everyday! PURE LOVE!

Here's my thoughts for the day, DON'T let other people EVER bring you down, even when they pretended to be friends for years, then end up stabbing you in the back, with hurtful words. Only proves my point to be careful who to trust, ones you think you can, not always true, unfortunately.... Their loss, not mine!
Keep on fighting the good fight is what my real friend tells me. I love that saying!

live life to its fullest, you never know what tomorrow may bring ! God bless! DW

Always keep in touch with your childhood friends, it makes you feel younger reminiscing all of the good old days., Plus what the next chapter may bring us? We can now inspire each other & have more insight because of knowing the actions of our youth.

Does that make sense to anyone?

David still has available dates open to give speaking presentations to the high schools for the prom season. The time of year when the kids plan the biggest party of their high school years,& their transformation to becoming a young adult. This is also when some of the MOST HORRIFIC auto accidents happen. I have heard of WAY to many teen deaths, all do to the parties after the prom has ended. Please inquire in with David for a date you might be looking for, if you are having a "Mock accident" scene, I'm sure we can be there to describe my accident & how I live life paralyzed, not only a voice, but a visual too!!!
Anyone who knows of any type of group, r high schools that they can pass the word around, please do so, we accept inquires from anyone, will answer all questions, custom tailor speeches for anyone too! We look forward to hearing from anyone, any group, or a family that might need some one to one speaking about how I go about living with my disability, and I can help the individual or the whole family with some counseling. Thank you ~ David~.

It's turning out to be a beautiful day out there today, make the best out of it. Once your kids get home from school, take them to a park, for a walk on some trails, or a hike through the woods, anything outside to soak in the nature & natural Vitamin - D !
This is the time of year we all enjoy. The time we set our goals, plans, vacations & the forbidden chores in the yard, garage cleaning, etc. At the same time, it's a great time of year, we all feel inspired to do good for ourselves, family & friends.
Take a moment to enjoy the weather, take a day off from work & soak it all in, relieve the stress. God Bless & all have a great week
