STWHS is in search of an RN or LPN who is passionate about reproductive justice to work in our clinic. This position is part-time, usually Wednesday and Thursday. No nights, holidays or weekends!

The primary areas of responsibility include assisting the physician with abortion procedures and medication abortions.

Must have an RN or LPN Degree and have an active nursing license in New York.

This position is hourly. Range $26-$32 per hour plus a sign on bonus.

Peg Johnston established our organization in 1981, and from the very beginning she worked tirelessly to ensure compassionate and respectful care to our patients. Peg isn't someone you can sum up in a few words, and her contribution within the abortion world, and our community are unfathomable, because, to us, she was just "Our Peg". She was our friend and the true heart of our organization.

Peg Johnston, Director Emeritus of STWHS and our forever Fearless Leader, was interviewed in this article for the New Yorker. The article really shines a light on the challenges independent clinics face, often because of their lack of visibility.

Many abortion providers feel that the organization is too cautious and too corporate—forcing independent clinics to take the biggest risks.

FOCUS on Abortion is an amazing exhibit this month at the Cooperative Gallery 213 of abortion stories and portraits. Opens First Friday 5-9 pm, Saturdays 11 am- 3 pm and regular Fridays 5- 8 pm

This court case out of Texas is freaking everyone out. This one anti-abortion judge could ban the abortion pill all over the country including New York. Abortions by a procedure with good pain management will still be available at our office.
