ALL 3rd - 6th graders, join Teens United on Saturday, March 21st from 10:00am - 3:00pm at the Jackson Street Community Center for Unplug & Play Day Camp. This camp has been planned and will be executed by our Teens United group! During this time, we will also put together hygiene kits for the homeless. Did we forget to mention… it’s FREE!! Spread the word and come enjoy a day without your electronic devices!

Federal protections for students and adults with disabilities are in crisis.

Recent layoffs at the Department of Education have gutted the offices responsible for enforcing IDEA, Section 504, and WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act); laws that ensure access to education, civil rights, and vocational rehabilitation.

Without adequate staff, the Department cannot meet its legal or moral obligations to millions of students and workers with disabilities. Congress must act now to restore staffing, leadership, and oversight before decades of progress are lost.

Framework In Action - The cancer walk hosted by students aligns with Priority Area 2: Develop a Culture of Collaboration and Support, specifically Strategy 3: Empower students as leaders and change agents.

It builds a sense of belonging and support among students, staff, and the broader community.

It reflects the district’s commitment to helping students grow as leaders who make a positive impact beyond the classroom.
