It’s beginning to look a lot like cozy season in the High Desert! 🍂Fall looks a little different here along the Mojave River. While wildlife prepares for cooler months ahead, we can do our part to keep the watershed healthy this season.



✅ Sweep (don’t hose) patios and driveways.

✅ Double-check irrigation systems to avoid overwatering as temps drop.

✅ Store fertilizers, paints and chemicals in covered, dry areas.

✅ Add native plants this fall - the cooler season is perfect for planting and reduces runoff year-round.

The MRWG team had a spooktacular time at the Newton T. Bass Library in Apple Valley, sharing how we can all keep the Mojave River Watershed clean. Families and kids learned, laughed and pledged to help prevent stormwater pollution, then spun the wheel for some wicked cool prizes!

Grab your gloves, Hesperia … it’s cleanup time! 🧤🌎 The City of Hesperia is rolling out a community cleanup day to keep our river and neighborhoods trash-free, and we’re glad to help them make that happen. Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 8am - 12pm, rally your crew and help us give the High Desert some well-deserved TLC so we can protect the watershed.
