For 26 years, Deondre has helped make Bay Lake feel like home through his care, kindness, and the heart he brings to our community every day. We are so grateful for all he does for our residents, families, and team.

Thanks to our amazing partners at Legacy Healthcare Services, Inc., we were able to get out to Bayville Farms Park for “Walk in the Park Day”!

🌼We had an absolute blast at our Egg Hunt this past weekend! Eggs were hidden all around the first floor, just waiting to be discovered by our excited little hunters. It was such a joy watching their smiles, laughter, and determination as they searched high and low. ⭐️ RUI University Spotlight ⭐️

We had the pleasure of welcoming Dana and Cailin from the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum for a fascinating presentation on SPARS and the Women of the Coast Guard.

Residents learned about the history of women joining the Coast Guard, including Dorothy C. Stratton, the first woman to serve, and the important roles and duties they carried out. Dana and Cailin brought along incredible photos, meaningful artifacts, and even an original uniform for everyone to see up close—bringing history to life right before our eyes!

Thank you for such an engaging and educational experience! We look forward to the next one!

We’re bringing the excitement of science right to our community! 🚀❄️

Our Inspiritás-memory care residents were in for a cool experience as the Virginia Air & Space Science Center visits us for an interactive liquid nitrogen show! From foggy clouds to fascinating demonstrations, this hands-on program sparks curiosity, encourages engagement, and brings plenty of smiles.

Programs like this are a wonderful way to stimulate the senses, inspire conversation, and create meaningful moments for our residents! ✨

Residents enjoyed a relaxing and creative Floral Arranging Art session with Rhona Dawson & ArtsConnect Virginia. During this hands-on activity, participants worked with artificial flowers to design beautiful arrangements in small decorative boxes.

Guided by Rhona, residents explored color combinations, placement techniques, and their own personal style while creating unique pieces. The use of artificial flowers allowed everyone to take their time and craft something lasting that can be enjoyed for years to come.

It was a wonderful opportunity to express creativity, socialize, and leave with a charming arrangement to brighten their room! 🌸

Our Inspiritás Memory Care ladies had the best time knocking down pins, sharing laughs, and cheering each other on every step of the way. It wasn’t about the score—it was about the smiles, the memories, and the fun we created together.

🍀 What a golden day in Inspiritás-Memory Care! 🍀

Our residents had a blast celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a fun-filled scavenger hunt in search of the pot of gold! From the gym to the theatre, the dining room to the front desk, each clue got minds working, bodies moving, and smiles shining.

There was plenty of laughter, a little friendly competition, and so much joy along the way. It’s moments like these that keep us engaged, connected, and feeling lucky to be together. 💚✨
