For , our Independent Living Ambassadors at Watercrest Buena Vista led a resident-powered thank-you: hand-crafted cards, pins, and treats delivered to local police, fire, and EMS. The goal wasn’t a photo op, but rather to look our neighbors in the eye and say, we see your service.

A special shoutout goes to Watercrest of St. Lucie West and Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care for their standout efforts, and congratulations to our winner, Pelican Landing! Our annual Community Art Show turned Watercrest's lobbies into galleries across the map! Residents hung work alongside pieces by families, friends, and local artists; our memory care crews showcased seasonal pieces and some communities even added twists like a caricature artist and “edible art” tables!

At Sage Park Austin, one of our newest communities in Texas, the local Silver Strings Orchestra turned an afternoon into something restorative. 🎻

As part of our Live Exhilarated programming, we regularly partner with local musicians to bring performances into everyday life, where familiar melodies can do measurable good. Live music helps elevate mood, cue long-held memories, and sharpen attention! Plus, steady rhythms invite gentle movement (tapping a foot, swaying in a chair, etc.) and open the door to easy conversation.

That’s an important goal of Live Exhilarated: purposeful partnerships that connect our communities and weave joy into the week long after the last note fades!

Kim Haddon, our new Regional Director of Operations, has been promoted from within after years of outstanding leadership and dedication. With 20+ years in healthcare and senior living, Kim is known for her dependability, mentorship, and seeing the big picture while caring about the details. For this annual celebration, our culinary teams served schnitzel, bratwurst, Kartoffelpuffer, pretzels with beer cheese, and Apfelstrudel while residents, families, guests, and associates raised their steins. Each was made extra special by the local performers and partners who helped bring Bavaria to our communities.
