National days are a great excuse to make everyday life a little more fun across our communities! 🌟

Recently, at Watercrest Myrtle Beach, residents headed to Cicis Pizza for , while Watercrest Richmond celebrated with a trip to Sergio's Pizza and Italian Restaurant. At Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care, brought plenty of creativity into the mix, and gave another community a sweet reason to celebrate! Over at Sage Park Austin, residents marked , and Sage Park Guadalupe had fun with Day!

Pizza outings, floral arranging, a little something sweet: these are a simple way to spark connection and make room for joy in the everyday.

A thoughtful gesture can go a long way, and our residents at Sage Park Guadalupe felt that during a recent visit from Restoration Hill Church in Ingram, Texas. 💚

The group brought beautifully wrapped Valentine’s Day baskets for every resident, turning an ordinary day into something extra special. Moments like this matter because community connections remind older adults that they are seen and valued.

Operation Support our Troops - America was an incredible success across our communities as Watercrest united to honor the sacrifices of our country's active duty military members and veterans.

At Pelican Landing Assisted Living and Memory Care, proud resident veterans stood by their donations and shared words of wisdom for current service members to be brave, stay strong, and live and learn, which even inspired their families to ask how they can send letters of their own!

Sage Park San Antonio lived up to their town's "Military City, USA" name with an overflowing donation box for local care packages, a color guard presentation by Alamo Heights High School, and resident veterans sharing their service stories over ice-cold beer. Over in Watercrest Richmond, an amazing turnout filled the collection box, showcasing the deep generosity of the community.

February was full of love across all our Watercrest communities! 🩷

Our Live Exhilarated programming truly shines when we celebrate together. We loved seeing RLD Candice at Watercrest Myrtle Beach hugging that giant heart, and the beautiful women at Watercrest Palm Beach Gardens enjoying an empowering "Galentines" event with Maya Angelou poetry and a wine tasting.

The love kept flowing with beautiful flower bouquet making at Watercrest of St. Lucie West and meanwhile, Watercrest Winter Park hosted a lovely Valentine's Day tea complete with special handmade soaps!

Curating these meaningful events is essential for fostering deep connections and keeping our residents engaged. It was so wonderful to see our Watercrest culture in full bloom as we showed our residents exactly how much they are loved! 💝🥂

The finish line is officially in view for Watercrest Fredericksburg! The vision is no longer just plans and renderings; it is a beautiful reality! ✨

Walking through the community with the team recently was such a meaningful milestone. Seeing the gorgeous dining room coming together and the custom shelves fully installed makes it so easy to picture real conversations happening in these spaces. We even passed our preliminary kitchen inspection, so we can keep pushing forward!

These are the days we have hoped and prayed for. Every single detail represents the wonderful people who will soon walk these halls and build their own stories here! 💙

Some of our communities decided not to just watch the Olympics this year... but to host their own! 🏅

At Watercrest of St. Lucie West residents teamed up with associates for “Minute to Win It” style games to kick off their in-house Olympic Games. A special shoutout goes to resident Dar for taking home the most medals!

At Sage Park Austin, the team created a full opening ceremony, complete with athletes entering the “stadium,” the national anthem, a welcome speech, flag presentation, athlete and judge oaths, AND the passing of the cauldron to officially open the games. Residents enjoyed “go for the gold” Rolos, cone-and-Cheetos torches, Olympic aerobics, Olympic Bingo, and a closing ceremony to wrap it all up after a week of games.

We love keeping our residents moving and feeling part of something special, and it's all possible with associates like ours! 🔥

Our communities are so much bigger than the people who live and work in them. Watercrest is so grateful for the local partnerships that bring extra joy to our residents every single week!

Just this month in our communities, we had a team from Powerback Rehab lead everyone in a "Cupid Shuffle" themed workout, while John Vitale was providing pet therapy in another building. It is also such a joy to sponsor space for the Music Together baby therapy group and watch the children grow. Plus, we are incredibly honored to host friends like Kevin Fitzpatrick and his horse Romeo, who have been coming out to kick off the San Antonio rodeo with us for two decades.

Thank you to all our community partners for making our days so special!

It was a Super Sunday across Watercrest! Our communities went all out to celebrate the big game in their own unique ways. We saw everything from tailgate parties to elegant game day brunches, and incredible spreads featuring Bloody Mary bars, crispy bacon, and of course, wings.

Some of us got competitive with co****le, while others posed for fun photos with "Touchdown" props and balloon arches. We even had live music to set the mood in some communities. The Watercrest family definitely knows how to celebrate! 🏆🏈

Watercrest communities agreed on one thing last week: the Roaring 20’s deserved a comeback. ♠️🥂

Across our locations, residents showed up in pearls, hats, fur coats, and their best “casino night” attitude. There were card tables, photo backdrops, plenty of snack breaks, and more than a few people who took the games very seriously. Some nights are worth dressing up for, and every year, this is one of them!

Meet Shelley Herrera, Resident Lifestyle Director of Sage Park Austin, with nearly 26 years of heart and pure follow-through. What started as a simple “donut drop” during COVID turned into an annual tradition our residents and families look forward to, week after week. Shelley even completed 100 weeks straight of costumes and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts without repeating a single costume- and made many of them herself!

That’s the Life Exhilarated experience in action: consistent, personal, and built on joy.
