As of now I am on the Unos list for deceased donor but that could take 5-10 years.
But I had several others tested for live donor and I got the surprise of a life time with this…..my donor is my daughter.
Multiple fundraisers have been done with my sister, granddaughter and nurse friends help.
I will post the tshirt fundraiser but for me being off for 3 months or more and my daughter being off for approximately 6-8 weeks it’s a lot of stress.
Since I didn’t get surgery before the end of December all copays and deductible are due again. Copay-7500.00 deductible-3500.00.
So this is all not cheap and not wanting to burden my parents or family. 😱😭

October 2023 I had ended up with chronic liver disease. I never made it to work, I had my 4 grandkids with me and they thought we were getting tacos.
What they didn’t know was I don’t remember getting ready for work, or driving.
When I didn’t show for work the called y soon and my daughter, she started tracking me. They ended up finding me in an exit to a parking lot slumped over the steering wheel with my foot on the break. Needless to say that was a long hospital stay. Affecting my life, family, friends, and job.

Hi,
Im a nurse for almost 20 years, have 2 kids and 6 grandkids that have my whole heart.
This disease has changed my whole life and my family’s lives.
I had Covid multiple times, along with multiple other health issues. But the one that took me by surprise was that I had liver disease.
The first visit (2021) with one dr I left with my head held down and in tears. I went through all the things of depression and anger, hatred, why me, you name it. I for the first time saw a therapist and after about 4 visits I realized it was not for me.
