Ihanktonwan Wowas'ake Program The Yankton Sioux Tribe has been awarded a Tribal Opioid Settlement, funded by NATO.

The primary goal of this program is to address the opioid crisis within the community by implementing a range of support and prevention strategies.

We hope you are all staying warm. Welcome to those that our new to our page.

Just a reminder that the Ihanktonwan Wowas’ake Program focuses on supporting youth on their paths. We hope to provide services that center on building wellness and resiliency.

See below a brochure of our current services. Please reach out to see how to get your young person involved.

As of now, we offer culturally grounded services in the form of mental health support, addictions counseling, prevention groups, community art, and equine centered care. We offer group and individual sessions. Collectievly, the members on our team have over 35 years of experience in the field of counseling and working with youth.

School-aged students in grades 8–12. Class is happening THIS WEEK, so don’t wait! We are only looking to fill 10 spots.

📌 Please bring your own sewing machine.
If you do not have access to one, please let us know ahead of time so arrangements can be discussed.
