✨Molding✨

This can happen when the second stage of labor is extended. It’s amazing how our body’s are made for birth. Baby’s heads are soft and the flexible bones can overlap during birth.

This is a natural process to allow baby to pass through the birth canal and more common than not! If you have a belly birth or a quick v@ginal delivery, you will likely not see much molding.

Third Trimester Labor Prep Routine 💫

Here are my favorite positions to prep for labor without using a birth ball. Move slowly, lengthen your breath, and listen to your body.

Placentas are amazing organs! Did you know you can ask your provider for a tour of your placenta after birth?

With this home birth, the whole family was excited to learn and see all the parts of the placenta, amniotic sack and umbilical cord! You can also request this in the hospital and even after a cesarean. 😍

✨Placenta Encapsulation✨

Placenta encapsulation has been said to:

As a certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist trained by , I process the placenta into pills and a tincture using food safety standards, I wear full PPE, I use single use items whenever possible, and used a traditional steamed method.

This service includes:
✨ Placenta Pills
✨ Placenta Tincture
✨ Art Print

This can be done from a placenta that has been frozen or you can contact me right when you have your baby. It’s best to reach out before to provide safe handling instructions and coordinate pick-up/drop-off.

Note: Not every placenta is safe to encapsulate so reach out if you’re interested.

Did you know baby’s can be born with bruising?

This can happen for very fast deliveries and the bruising will go away quickly. Some can have bruising from being OP or “sunny-side-up” during delivery which tend to have a longer pushing period. This can also happen from AVD and in this case healing from the bruising may take more time.

✨ The Womb Within studio ✨

I’ve been working on this space since June and it’s been fun to see that way it’s grown and changed. This is where we hold birth classes. It has a full bathroom, kitchenette with snacks and private parking accessible through the alley.

I’d love to start a ✨ fourth trimester ✨ mom & baby series this Winter in this space with feeding support, birth processing, snacks & coffee!

Mom walks every Friday at 10am — open to all pregnant & postpartum mamas ✨

Come bundled for the fall weather! 🍂 We do 1-3 laps around the paved trail. If you are worried about having to stop to feed baby, there are benches along the way!

Bring a baby carrier & stroller for options. We all know those days where baby doesn’t sleep all night or nap all day, you’re not alone!
