This was the first AAD not working behind a booth and working with brands I’ve admired for years. Here’s just a little recap of the exhibit hall AAD. (Honestly I needed a map because I kept getting lost).

1. Met the founders behind the amazing brand
2. Met my talent manager in person
3. Stopped by the booth and also spoke with the found
4. Met my director of talent management, Bianca, in person who has gotten me to work with dream brands as a pharmacist
5. Stopped by the CeraVe booth to film an upcoming video (stay tuned)
6. Got to finally meet at .yxng from Celimax and for a sneak peek for what’s to come in 2026.

Why do pharmacists in retail pharmacy have doctorate degrees? This man felt the need to belittle a job he has no clue about. Many of the things retail pharmacists are doing clinically are happening behind the scenes and sometimes you wouldn’t want to know the things we have been fixing. Also, a majority of or job is spent counseling patients and answering questions about medications and over the counter products because that’s what our studies focused on.

Grass-fed tallow ≠ acne-safe skincare 😬

I get the appeal of “natural,” but here’s the reality:
Tallow is highly comedogenic → meaning it can clog pores and worsen acne.

Lavender essential oil? Not proven to treat acne in humans and more likely to irritate your skin than help it.

“Antibacterial” doesn’t automatically = effective acne treatment.

Stick to ingredients backed by real clinical evidence, not trends.

Unless your goal is to increase your chances of skin cancer or age your skin a lot faster than please do not do this.

With all the different sunscreen options available now there is no reason to not be wearing sunscreen and protecting your skin. Sunscreen is honestly the number 1 product to help with anti-aging.
