You can start BFR in your first week of surgery (usually after day 3). BFR allows you to strengthen your muscles without having to lift heavy weights. The BFR cuff reduces the amount of bloodflow to the limb which puts metabolic stress on the muscles. This is triggers the muscles to increase in size through the release of natural growth hormone while circumventing the need tp lift heavy weights. This makes it safe to strengthen muscles post-surgery.
