My Visceral fat has gone from a level 13 to a flipping 5 😱 and my muscle has only increased. And the crazy part is if I would’ve scanned myself on day one I probably would’ve been a 20 💪😜💪
I’m not gonna lie…When I first saw my visceral fat come in at a 13, it honestly stopped me in my tracks. That’s not just a “number on a scale,” that’s the kind of level where real metabolic concerns start creeping in. Once you’re at 10, you’re already in a zone where your body is under stress, and anything above that, especially past 13, can start pointing toward prediabetic issues. That was a wake up call for me.
At low levels (1–5): organs are relatively “uncompressed,” insulin sensitivity is good
At higher levels (10+): fat surrounds organs → affects hormones, blood sugar, inflammation
Fast forward to now, seeing that number drop to a flipping 5 while my muscle has actually ONLY increased 💪😜💪 that’s the kind of progress (and program 😉) that means something. Not just lighter, but healthier, stronger, and actually changing what’s going on inside my body.
I measure this with an InBody scan. These are incredibly consistent and accurate enough to track real change over time, which is what matters most. I actually offer these scans right out of my home office (regardess if you do my program or not) so you can see exactly what’s going on in your own body beyond just weight.
1–3 → elite / very lean / athletic
4–5 → excellent
6–8 → healthy
9 → technically fine, but borderline
10–11 → first real warning sign
12–14 → clear metabolic risk
15+ → strongly associated with disease risk
👉 If you’re 10 or above, it’s worth actively working to bring it down.
If there’s one number I’d tell anyone to pay attention to, it’s visceral fat. Anyone can lose “weight,” but that doesn’t mean it’s the right kind. You can drop pounds of water weight and still be holding onto the most dangerous fat while losing muscle at the same time.
For me, this mindset shifts everything. I stopped chasing the scale and started focusing on FAT LOSS, metabolic and longevity health, as well as doing whatever I needed to do to keep muscle and or build it!
