Some years blur together. This one didn’t. These are nine sacred places and moments I’ll carry with me.

New Zealand. Newfoundland. Nova Scotia. Florida. Different shorelines, different weather, different miles… but the same quiet truth in all of them: the land is still speaking—if we’re willing to slow down enough to listen.

I don’t take photos to collect places. I take them to remember relationship. To remember how it feels when wind has a voice. When salt air resets your whole nervous system. When a forest makes time feel different. When an animal’s presence is so precise it silences the noise in your head and you realize you’ve been holding your breath.

And underneath all of it is a hope that keeps driving me: that these photographs help you see—really see—the beauty that’s still here. That they nudge you toward appreciation, and then toward action. Toward choosing conservation. Toward protecting our sacred places and the wildlife who belong to them, long after the moment passes and long after the scroll moves on.

These nine frames are a small “thank you” from my year.
To early mornings and long drives.
To wet boots, cold fingers, sunburns, tides.
To missed shots and unexpected gifts.
To the creatures who allowed a glimpse without asking anything in return.
To the people who waited patiently while I stood there—staring at a marsh, a cliff edge, a line of light—like it was the most important thing in the world.

If you’ve had a hard year, let these be a reminder: beauty still exists without needing permission. There is still medicine that doesn’t come in a bottle. Sometimes it’s as simple as standing still long enough for the world to find you again.
