Yoga with Bonnie

Yoga with Bonnie Yoga is a transformational tool to adjust my attitude and prospective on life and daily issues. Yoga is a union of breath mind and body.

I was born in 1972 in Warwick, Rhode Island. I am the youngest of 4 children. I grew up in a time when seat belts were not mandatory and rules were just something that was for other people, defintely not me. I have always been rather fearless with strong desire to remain a free spirit. I feel best when I am walking in the woods surrounded by pine trees. I have always been rather positive by nature seeing the best in all situations. I choose to look at the adversity in life as opportunities seek for blessing and lessons. I have walked through the darkness of depression from time to time. Today I believe that the depression was a gift. The severe sadness was an alarm going off inside my body as a result of not being true to myself. When I live my life to please others I am not being true my self. I believe that there is a difference between people pleasing and selfless service. People pleasing i am not truly loving myself or others. If I don't love myself for being me I cant love you for being unapologetically you. The best thing about life is that we are reborn every day with each new rising sun. Every day is a new day to learn to know better and do better. I feel blessed to be a women today living in the United States. I have choices, chances and opportunities every day..To know better and do better. The best job i have been chosen for is I am the host of 3 amazing young women. My daughters Madison, Sam and Emma they inspire me every day to be the best version of myself. I do my best to parent from a place of Faith rather than Fear. Trusing if my Higher Power has guided me throuh the journy theirs is too!

The Yoga Sutras teach that surrender is not giving up — it’s letting go of the illusion that we are in control of every detail.
When we soften our grip and trust the rhythm of life, clarity and peace naturally arise.
The universe moves in perfect timing — our only job is to stay present, open, and receptive.

Practice

Pause today when you feel uncertainty.
Place your hand over your heart.
Whisper your mantra and feel yourself soften into trust.
Let your breath remind you — you are supported, always.

Yoga reminds us that we are never stuck-we can always choose again. When we feel scattered, we can call in calm. When we feel fear, we can breathe in trust. When we feel fear, we can breathe in trust. When we feel judgment, we can practice compassion. It is a daily practice of turning toward the light, one breath at a time.
Mantra for today:
I choose gratitude over worry.
I choose love over fear.
I choose joy-even in charge. ❤️ Take a moment today to notice where your energy flows- and gently shift it toward something that feels good, grounded and true. 🍂🍁🍃

🍂 Fall Reflection – Yoga Sutra II.33
“Vitarka badhane pratipaksha bhavanam”
When disturbed by negative thoughts, cultivate the opposite. 🍁🍃🍂This sutra teaches us to consciously shift our energy — to meet fear with faith, judgment with compassion, and chaos with calm.
Every time we choose peace over reaction, we return home to ourselves. 🍁
✨ Reflection:
What thoughts, stories, or habits am I ready to release this season?
What would I like to plant in their place? 🌱
🕉️ Mantra:
I choose peace over fear.
I choose compassion over judgment.
I choose to let go and trust the process.

“When facing family conflicts or feeling triggered by others, the Yoga Sutras (I.33) teach us to cultivate compassion and equanimity. This shifts how we respond, reduces stress, and protects our inner peace.”

Through practicing the sutras I have been able to request my thinking. It assisted in the cultivation of new beliefs and actions.
