C3 Cares is the brainchild of Erin Athey who won a Johnson and Johnson Quickfire Challenge award for improving access to care. Dr. Athey has spent nearly two decades as a clinician and community-engaged scholar and educator for public housing residents in D.C. By providing convenient, reliable, and trustworthy care, C3 Cares endeavors to provide the best quality care to our patients and also hopes to restore faith in the U.S.

She’ll be presenting on Community Concierge Care (C3 Cares), our nurse practitioner–led primary care model embedded directly within Washington, DC public housing communities.

Nothing strengthens community health like strong leadership. Director Pettigrew visited the DCHA (HCVP) Headquarters today for his flu shot, showing just how important it is to stay protected this season!

He’ll be back on December 3rd for his COVID vaccine, and we appreciate his leadership and commitment to keeping our community healthy this season.
