🌟 Big News for Families & Birthworkers in the DMV!
We are excited to announce the official relaunch of the Community Doula Network (CDN) under the M.A.M.A. Community Foundation, Inc., a newly recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, community-based maternal support. 💜
What is the Community Doula Network?
CDN is a volunteer-based program that connects trained doulas with families in our community who may not otherwise have access to this type of emotional, physical, and informational support. Our mission is to ensure every family has the care they need during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
As we relaunch and grow, we’re inviting trained doulas to join this important work and help us strengthen maternal support across the region.
To celebrate and share more about what’s ahead, we’re hosting two launch events — open to anyone who wants to learn more:
📌 Day 1: Virtual Kickoff Info Session
Saturday, December 6, 2025 | 12:00–1:30 PM ET
Learn about the program, volunteer expectations, and how doulas can get involved.
