At Spark Point Fundraising, our values of kindness, integrity, and equity aren’t abstract—they compel us to speak out against the mistreatment that people across the United States, and particularly in Minnesota, are experiencing at the hands of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) agents.

In 2025, I.C.E:

Booked ~3,800 minors (some as young as one) in family detention.
Dragged, tackled, beaten, tased, suffocated, and shot community members.
Detained at least 170 U.S. citizens.
Had 32 people die in their custody (and 2 others in January 2026).

As people who work alongside nonprofits in communities nationwide, we stand with every brave individual, organization, and community fighting back against attacks on their neighbors and shining light on the violence and murder that is taking place in the name of safety.

What ICE and its agents are doing is rooted in hatred and feeds injustice. Abolish I.C.E.!

In the face of injustice, we turn towards our community and the amazing work of organizations like Bread for the City, Fair Budget Coalition, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), and the many others trying to protect our neighbors.

These organizations are doing critical work on the ground, at the border, and in communities to support and protect those targeted by this agency and all immigrants living here. Please support them and others you know about.
