Life has a lot of ups and downs. Getting lost in the downs is no good. What we focus on is what grows and expands. So, let’s focus on what’s good. Like a bike in a beautiful place - and all the happy feelings that come along with it. Yep. Doing that. 🤟🏻😁❤️

💫Don't be afraid to start over. This time you're not starting from scratch. You're starting from experience. 😃👍🏻💫

What if instead of focusing on the things we DON'T know and CAN'T do, we would focus on our experience and the things we DO know and CAN do?! ✅❤️🤷🏻‍♀️

I stumbled on this quote yesterday and I think it may be my new favorite. 👏🏻 It reminds me that every time we start over or make a change, whether it's a significant life-change or just changing a tiny part of our behavior, it's going to take a while to settle in and get comfortable. Just like learning to ride a bike or to dance. We are going to fall or make the wrong move at some point. But – the next time we get on the bike or try that dance – we are not starting from scratch but experience. 👌🏻

So – if you're finding yourself in a situation where you feel like you're starting over, whether it's looking for a job, going through a divorce, losing weight, or getting back in shape – you're not starting from scratch. Think about the lessons you've learned and how much better you are because of those lessons. Keep moving forward one step at a time. You've got this! 👊🏻

😁

It can be easy to forget to love life as it is, here and now, during this weird situation. 😷🤷🏻‍♀️ I know I’m guilty of this at times. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But WHAT IF - instead of waiting for this all to pass and for everything to get back to normal - we can enjoy the journey and focus on what we have and can do now?
Maybe enjoying life now is all about the simple things like dressing up with a superhero cape, connecting with others and making them smile?!? 😁💫
Anyone know where I can get my own superhero cycling cape? ❤️😜

Being active, outdoors in nature, is a great place to go to get centered. It’s where I go when I’m feeling overstimulated, when I’m worried, when I find myself overthinking something. In general, it’s where I go when I want to shift or improve my mood and my mindset. It works like magic. ✨

Out of sight, out of mind. 🏘
When I visited Iceland three weeks ago 🇮🇸 I hadn’t been back in over two years. A part of me dreaded going back, while I was also excited. The reason I dreaded it, is I’m a little homesick. 😢 Not going back for so long had helped me keep it out of mind. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Since being back however, I miss it. I miss my family, friends, former colleagues, the job I did there. I miss the strong support system that’s there.
When I moved to the US almost 7 years ago, I packed up a house, put everything in storage and left with nothing but clothes and a few boxes of random stuff. The thought didn’t occur to me that this would be it, that I’d probably never be back. I also never realized how different things would be, all the hoops I’d have to jump through, and the struggles I’d face in a new country. I was very naive. ☺️ In my adventurous mind this was just a grand adventure. Don’t get me wrong, it sure has been! However, as much as I love some parts of my new life, I also miss some parts of my old life. That’s normal, I know. So here are some more Iceland 🇮🇸 pictures. Not ready to put it all out of sight again just yet. 😊 My favorite picture from the trip is this first one of the sheep. I LOVE how, in the summertime, the sheep roam free all over the country. 🐏🐑 It’s kinda how I felt too growing up there. 😁 That sense of freedom, being able to roam around and explore. Definitely why I love my cycling adventures so much! 😃
Heading out on an adventure now. 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️ Need my dose of nature, the outdoors and definitely need that sense of freedom. 😊❤️ Happy Saturday to you my friend and wishing you a wonderful weekend! ❤️
