So many Black women are forced to do things on their own regardless of everything going on within and around them.
Things like colorism, texturism, and featurism colors experiences with jobs, families, friends, and lovers, but no one likes to have these uncomfortable conversations.
We don’t learn the hurt on our own, so why are we expected to heal on our own? C.U.R.L.S Talk was created for this reason.
C.U.R.L.S (Conversations Understanding Relationships Love and S*x) Talk is a virtual space for Black women to explore and learn how colorism and texturism impact mental and emotional health relating to relationships, love, and s*x.
This space is for Black women who have questioned the color of their skin and hair texture to have REAL ASS conversations about it. C.U.R.L.S Talk will introduce Community to Black women who have felt alone on their healing journey.
On June 27th, 2024 at 7pm ET we will discuss:
1. How traumas and beauty narratives have influenced our feelings about ourselves, dating life, relationships, and s*x-esteem.
2. How to get back to pleasure, because pleasure is our birthright!
