Well Done and Better

Well Done and Better A health and wellness coaching service with a focus on nutrition. Over the past few years, I have spent a good deal of time reading about fitness and nutrition.

Trying to work on becoming the best me so I can lead a healthful life that sets and example for my family. I mostly follow a Paleo diet and work to “Just Eat Real Food (JERF)”….meaning foods that are as unprocessed as possible. I feel best when I eat this way and it allows me to thrive so I can serve others as a mom, wife, daughter and friend. It recently occurred to me that I should be paying attention to what I put on my body, too. Because isn’t what I put on my body is just as important as I what I put in my body? But, I really liked my current products…I have a routine…do I really want to change? YES! After some additional research and on the recommendation by someone I respect, I found Beautycounter. I was so excited about the products that I signed up to be a consultant because I want to be associated with its positive mission to get safer personal products in the hands of everyone…and I when I find a good thing (a restaurant, a salon, a store)…you know me, I’m going to tell you about my great experience. Beautycounter is a great experience that I want to share with you! Four What impressed me:
1. Quality, beautiful products
o Beautycounter products perform and are as indulgent as any luxe shampoo, lipstick, oil or lotion in the market. I feel pampered when I use these products! Don’t we all deserve a small part of our day to feel pampered? YES!

2. High health and safety standard
o Beautycounter believes in high-performing, safer makeup that pays attention to ingredient safety, toxicity reports, and independent testing. At Beautycounter, we’ve banned more than 1500 ingredients, setting a new health and safety standard. o Beautycounter is actively engaging with Congress to establish laws to regulate the beauty industry. o Did you know that last time the government passed a federal law regulating the use of ingredients in personal care products was 1938? That’s over 75 years ago! In plain language…the five billion dollar beauty industry is at full liberty to use whatever ingredient they want in the products you use every day. Known carcinogens, hormone disruptors, skin irritants, allergens are fair game, as are ingredients thought to contribute to infertility, ADHD, the sharp rise of Autism, and cancer. o The European Union bans more than 1300 harmful or toxic chemicals from personal care products while the US bans or restricts 11.

3. Beautycounter is a B Corporation – what does that mean? o B Corporation are leading a global movement to redefine success in business by voluntarily meeting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance.

4. Beautycounter has partnered with trusted non-profits that advocate for health and the environment to include:
o Environmental Working Group
o The Breast Cancer Fund
o Healthy Child, Healthy World
o Stand Up to Cancer

These four things said to me…this is a quality company that cares. I want to be a part of that revolution and I invite you to join me!!!

🇺🇸 Veterans Gratitude Week Fundraiser 🇺🇸
Join me in honoring the heroes who served.

As you know, I teach yoga for the Veterans Yoga Project, a non-profit that provides free yoga and mindfulness classes to veterans, active-duty military, military families, caregivers, and more. 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

Every year, we host a fundraiser to help keep these classes free for this important population — those who serve and have served our country.

💙 Every donation helps fund programs that support veterans’ mental health, resilience, and recovery through mindful practices.

🗓️ Fundraiser ends November 16th

✨ Today I had my mammogram, and I’m deeply grateful the results came back normal. Regular screenings are so important — early detection can save lives. 💗

To those who are living with breast cancer, survivors, and families supporting loved ones: I send you my care, empathy, and strength.🌸

Please, if you’re due, schedule your mammogram. A few minutes of your time could make all the difference.

* Total Time:10 minutes
* Yield: 20–24balls (depends on size)

INGREDIENTS

* 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
* 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder (about 2 scoops)
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon
* 1 tbsp chia seeds
* 1/2 cup smooth natural peanut butter
* 3 tbsp raw honey

7. Store in fridge until ready to eat.
*Make sure it is drippy. If not you may need to add in extra liquid at the end.
